Just back from our interview. The IO was very nice and was an immigrant himself. He asked my spouse to confirm all of the typical biographic data I-130 questions, me to do the same for the I-485, asked me a bunch of the yes/no questions, then asked how we met, where we lived. Then asked what additional info we had for him. I handed him a fairly large stack of photos, which he went through, asking where they were/who was in them etc. That took around 5-10 minutes. Then I gave him a bunch of supporting documents - bank statements from joint accounts, leases, certified copy of married license, car insurance, apartment insurance, utility bills, 401k beneficiaries.

 

He seemed very satisfied and said "I'm definitely going to approve you". Walked us through 2yr conditional green card and applying for US citizenship in 2yrs 9 months from when I get the conditional greencard. He then gave us a signed piece of paper saying nothing else was needed on our case. He again reiterated he'd approve us quickly. That was it. Didn't ask us about our actual ceremony or any other details about our relationship etc. I feel like this was a 10/10 on the easiness scale. He was really friendly, and we talked a bit about overlaps in places we've lived worked/studied.

 

Very glad it's over, and now just waiting for confirmation of approval.

Hi guys just a quick update had my green card interview yesterday it was quick less than half and hour.  They asked basically to answer the same things in the application.  Asked for my birth certificate and my son’s birth certificate.  That was basically it.  Then I was told they are gonna review my application.  By the time I got to work which is 30 minutes away it said case approved.  Still not saying card being produced though but thank God the process is almost over.

We received our Interview Notice in the mail yesterday! 🙂

Finally, things are moving along in Detroit.

 

April 5 - case updated online to Interview was scheduled

April 9 - received notice in the mail

May 14 - Interview date

Had interview today at LA. Very fast. Took lease, joint bank account, photos, birth certificate and marriage certificate. Asked same questions in the application. Then asked about our marriage: how we met, when we decided to get married, if we did any traveling in the US, how many times we visited each other before we got married. I was stressed because husband said the wrong marriage date but was okay. Approved on spot.

Hey guys I never got an update of card being produced but got a message yesterday that card was mailed to me so it should be in my hands shortly.  I’m almost at the finish line

We finally have our GC interview scheduled for 5/14/2021 in Detroit!!! PD is 5/27/2020.

Is there anyone else who has the Baltimore office as the local office? It's been 240 days since biometrics, and I didn't hear anything about the interview yet.

I just checked the timelines on here, there's not a lot of timelines for the Baltimore office, but I guess it takes nearly 11-12 months. 😕
