We got our interview scheduled at last. Had been waiting since August that they took the fingerprints.

Do people out here have an idea of how far out they are scheduling the interviews for? Our local office is Chicago.
Asking because we have to travel soon and want to know ASAP if we will have to pospone.

Thanks!

From what I have observed on Reddit, its usually 4-5 weeks before. I am in the same boat and tried calling to find out the date but they asked me to wait for the letter.

Yup. I've seen that too from just counting days of people posting their dates. We'll have to wait and see.

I'll let you know as soon as I get my notice.

EAD/AP card is in the mail and, according to USPS Informed Delivery, should be here on Saturday.

AOS interview was this morning in Denver, and it was super quick and painless. Went over the I-485 form, asked if there were any changes to the Declaration of Self-Sufficiency, and gave them our "proof of relationship" documents. Less than an hour later, my status updated to "Card is Being Produced".

I'm truly thankful that things finally started rolling once my biometrics were taken in January. Best of luck to everyone else! Things are moving, slowly but surely.

Hi all,

My Green Card interview was scheduled today!! 😃

Our AOS package was received May 28th 2020, so going by current timelines for the Chicago office, we seem to be ahead of schedule!

Does anyone know how long it would typically be until I receive my appointment letter?

I got the electronic notification that I had an interview scheduled on Jan 11th, and the physical letter arrived on Jan 16th. So, for me, 5 days.

Hi, we have the same field office- Detroit and about the same PD  for AOS. But in our case, I was able to get biometrics done last year and also EAD. After that, it's been pretty uneventful. I-485 hasnt changed since last update- case is ready to be scheduled for an Interview. Spoke with a USCIS agent and they said getting the Interview schedule depends on local office processing date which is  about12 to 27 months.

I'm curious to see how your case will proceed as a lot of those who recently had biometrics done, got EAD and Interview schedule faster too. Just not sure with Detroit field office and whats taking them so long. Anyway, hope we both get to hear from USCIS soon!

Hi all,

Houston based. I had my biometrics on Dec 3 and finally got a letter yesterday saying my EAD and AP was approved. Do you know how long it takes for the combo card to be processed and get to me and how long for my SSN to be issued? I currently have an ITIN but due to offices being closed never gotten a SSN.

I suspect I won’t get scheduled for an interview for a Green Card for a few years the way it’s all gone so far!

Biometrics early August and received combo card early October. 2 months. K2 still waiting since same biometrics appointment. We're in California. Anyone get k2 EAD or interview in California? Our AOS receipt is from May 18 2020.
