My PD is May 12th. Raised a case inquiry and was told to call back after 30 days which is next week. I got the pleasure of talking to the rudest person on planet earth on my last call. They told me that they will create another service request if my current service request does not get answered within 30 days. Another agent told me it should be 30 business days. Yet another agent told me that I should have received something after 15 days. I swear they are making up rules on the spot now. At this point, I just want to be able to go home and that just seems like such a distant dream.

You are in good company. Waiting to call back on Nov 20 (30 days after our last enquiry) as have heard squat so far (we did a service inquiry through agent, also did one ourselves online,  AND we got our local state rep to do one too). Have heard nothing (PD May 28). We were also told we could make another service request after 30 days (welcome to the circus!) if we didn't hear anything, and that no they couldn't do anything about that (the rest of the world gets fired for not doing their job. Hmmmm.). Nobody seems to know anything. Timelines are whacked with no explanation. Not sure why some folks are getting biometrics and others are not with close to same PD dates at local offices. Given the restrictions on immigration, you'd think we'd be blowing through appointments. COVID closed offices briefly...been lots of time to catch up. LOTS of us in the same boat. I pray we all get some headway soon! Be nice to have a SSN and EAD to work (you know to back that new I-944) 😉 Don't mean to rant and be so sarcastic...it's a bit of a joke this process and even funnier (not) the money we've spent to get this paperwork through. Hang tight my friends...we will prevail! 💛

Hi guys. I checked online and I noticed that USCIS sent me a RFE for my I-485 should I panic?

Also I already got a RFE for my I-360 ( I’m applying as a widow). I’m so worried is it a bad sign ?
what are the typical RFE for an I-485 ?

We got a RFE for our I-485 because they lost the birth certificate copies in the package. SO we sent another copy and that was that. 😐

Honestly, the thing that bothers me is just how rude everyone is. And getting information out of them is like pulling teeth. I am hoping that Il have more luck next time when both my applications have crossed the USCIS processing time. Waiting for the I-765 to catch up to priority date. Don't think it will change anything, but 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thank you. I also got a RFE they wanted my i-94 or visa stamp. So good thing it wasn’t something too crazy.

What I have learned here is if our case reaching to point where it is out of normal processing time then USICS officially wants to announce "Well come to the party". In the party you will be meeting with fortunate people like you , congressman and USICS customer representatives . You be served a drink calling "service request " every 30 days . You will have opportunity to be a part of this party , till you become insane 👌

Here's the response we got to our online request about getting a biometrics appointment (PD May 28):  Thank you for your inquiry...Regarding the status of your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization.

Biometrics appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the ASC. Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, you will receive an ASC Appointment Notice to appear at a certain date and time at your local ASC. You must take the ASC Appointment Notice and photo ID to your appointment.

I think that was our Welcome to the Party confirmation! 🤪 Next week will be 30 days from our service request (put in by agent). Senator's request was shortly after that. Stay tuned...😉

Hi all!
I am a May filer based in Houston. Got biometric appointment for August that got cancelled. Been waiting since then for new biometric appointment and got my letter this weekend - my appointment is now 3 Dec. Hope that doesn’t get cancelled. How long does it generally take to process the EAD and AP card?

Anyone in Houston able to tell me what the timeframes are like for EAD and GC? I’m anxious to go back home and see my elderly mum who lives alone ☹️

Oh my gosh the last thing we need is another ASC closure.. I have a job offer too and will probably lose it because of USCIS being so slow. Do you think we could file for "financial loss to a company or person" with the job offer without affecting our case with the I944 rule. I know it was possible back when the immigration system was easier but of course trump had to ruin things up.

I think you may want to consider contacting USICS to expedite your case , based on this.  I have seen some people getting success.

That would not make your case goes any faster. I did and I’m still waiting and nothing.

You did exactly this and nothing? I should have filled for opt when I had the chance, that would have been much faster!
