I talked to Tier 2 agent, he said the Biometrics appointment is requested but not scheduled yet. But since it’s already requested it should not take long. I don’t know how many days more 😔

Same here , I was able to talk to tier 2 officer as well and he told me the same thing . Although I asked him what should I do if 90 days passes and i still don't hear anything . His reply was , if ASC doesn't have slots then it can take more then 90 days . Which circles and bring us too the same point . Soooo frustrating !!

Informed Delivery says my combo card shipped today and should arrive Saturday! Very excited, although after this it's going to be silence  for about a year until I hear anything from the Washington DC ASC for interview.

You're very close, don't be surprised if you get the GC sooner than expected!! Congratulations again on your EAD!

I had my biometric done in the mid August, my I-485 application shortly changed to ready to be scheduled an interview, but my I-765 is still showing fingerprints were taken, not to mention my I-131, nothing changed after they received my case. Does anyone here has about the same timeline as me? I guess one good thing is that I got my SSN card already...
Kinda frustrating tho,  I want to be able to work soooon!

Just as a heads up, even though my EAD shipped my current statuses are:

• I-485 - Ready to be Scheduled for Interview
• I-130 - Case Was Received
• I-765 - Case Was Updated to Show Fingerprints Were Taken
• I-131 - Case Was Received

All the details are in my timeline - main issue was a biometrics snafu -

Hi everyone, 

I'm a long time stalker but I think I should share this info.. 

 

 

 

I just talked to one of the agents and she told me that 90 days period was only for people who waiting to be rescheduled for biometrics. This was my 5th or 6th call. On the first one I've been told 30 days after office is opened then they said after 90 days, furthermore on the preveios call they told me I should request inquiry if I don't receive anything in 90 days. But today Ive been told nope It was not the case at all, she said there is no time period for initial applications 🤦‍♀️ am I the only one misunderstood them all this time or are they just stalling us. A Tier 2 agent will call me today or tomorrow. I had to insist really hard to get a talk with a tier 2🤦‍♀️

 

One more thing I've been noticing recently, family based applications really slowed down and I think they are mostly focus on work based and naturalizations. 

 

I came to America with k1 visa

They received i765/i131 on may 27th 2020

I-485 on June 2

North Dallas office

Call back and ask to speak to a tier 2 officer cause you could already be scheduled for biometrics and they tell you that madness cause that’s what happened to me and I missed my appointment 

Yes, You can walk-in without the letter and they can let you in. However in other go have your biometrics taken you need at least a date. Even if the date is already past and or in the future.

Yup exactly! They might  refuse and only do Code 2, but if you mention it's for an I-485 appointment they might be nice and do it anyway. The biometrics technicians typically understand the process better than some Tier 1 officers!
