I was rejected for not including a second i-864 for my K-2. I resubmitted last week. On the second i-864 I listed the K-2 as principle immigrant, was that wrong? Will I be rejected again? Was I supposed to submit an exact copy of the i-864 for the K-1 for the K-2 as well? On an old thread someone said you only needed the one i-864, but that was a few years ago. I'm really disheartened that they keep rejecting my packet (first time was for using wrong i-485 form that expires in 2021). I would welcome an RFE rather than another rejection. I don't understand why they are being so hard on me when it seems others are being accepted with the same i-485 that I used. All the evidence they require is in the packet as well. Are they harder on DIYs? Sorry for the complaining, I couldn't sleep last night thinking about all this.

I chatted with an agent on the USCIS website, but they won't answer questions about filling out the forms. They told me to get professional advice.

When I get the rejected packet back I feel like I flunked a test, or got an "F" on a paper.

Mailed our application on 5/12 via FedEx and it was delivered on 5/14. Doing an AOS from J1 visa for my husband. Anxiously waiting for the NOA. Sending good vibes to all of us.

Update 5/21: Just received all 4 NOA1 through text! Check hasn't been withdrawn from our account yet but I'm assuming it will after midnight.

Good luck all. Looks like we might be in for a long wait.

Hey guys. There's a question about "immigration category" on I-485. Should I write my NOA2 receipt number from my K-1 process?

Yes, it’s okay, just send when you will be ready . And try to send it ASAP, because for now you don’t have any status. In official instructions no information that you need send it before I-94 expired, only information about marriage in time.
I was late on 2-3 weeks
