Just got a call back and well....my appointment was for August 13th.
Literally took 2 full weeks AFTER the appointment date for USPS (not their fault, of course) to attempt to deliver my notice.

What a slap in the face.

Why couldn't USPS deliver it do you know? You mean it's not USCIS fault or USPS.

I have no idea, I’ve been checking the mail religiously every day for the past month. I also confirmed the address with USCIS and it was correct. The way the mailboxes at my apt complex are set up makes them 100% accessible to the mailman, so there’s no way they were obstructed. I also don’t get packages delivered so the mailbox could not be full to the point were the letter would not fit. What I find strange is that I never saw anything from USCIS on Informed Delivery.

Oh well, there’s no point in being upset about the past. I was told I should receive a new appointment by the 11th, so I might just hang out by the mailbox everyday around the time the mailman comes to make sure everything is good.

you didn't notice from the uscis website that you should go to biometric? I guess when they schedule the appointment, you receive a new status?

No, my last status change until today was on June 30th when they received my response to a RFE. Everything else is still sitting as “case was received”.

I tried to expedite my case thru congressman . But congressman told me that my bio metric has been scheduled (they got info from uscis) and they email me the biometric appointment also. later I received thru mail.

My suggestion would be to in touch with your congressman and tell about your past problem and see if he can ensure that you get your letter this time. We are trying out best and its worth trying this also. best wishes.

Hi all, just a quick update, I chatted with Emma and called USCIS this morning regarding the coding question, and received 2 different versions of answers. One suggested to call to talk to a Tier 2 and the other one said it's fine just show up to the appointment. So nothing really useful... I plan to attend to the appointment and request for code 3 fingerprinting if needed.

Good morning everyone, just a quick update on the biometrics codes. I attended my appointment yesterday and it was very smooth. My I-765 says code 2 and when the technician scanned the notice it's code 3 instead so I did all the fingerprints! I did ask him about the coding and he said that it's a common error but they can see the correct instruction in their system. So please don't worry so much about it like I did!

P.S. I485 & I765 were updated to show fingerprints were applied last night as well.

This is true if you don't also get sent a separate appointment notice that is Code 3. When my Code 2 appointment notice was scanned it only indicated Code 2, and so I lost 3 weeks of time on my application and it would still be in limbo if I hadn't driven back to the ASC yesterday w/ the Code 3 notice appointment to get all ten fingers fingerprinted.

The same with me. The lady was very polite and she even explained to me that the computer generate the letters and often error happen and the right code should be 3 (all 10 fingers)

Hi, I had the same thing - notice says code 2 but I did all 10 fingers - but lady didn't tell me anything so I don't know if the scanned code is code 3 or not. But the AP status didn't change. So you guys think we still gonna go for another biometric appointment or they gonna use the fingerprints for I-131 too?

Hi,

Anyone either family based or employment based AOS filer has Field Office at Seattle WA? If so, could share experience for biometrics appointment and how long it took to be scheduled after NOA at USCIS?

Hi! I’m a Seattle filer. My Noa1 is from May-2020 but until now NO bio appointment. Seattle is famous for being VERY slow. 😢
