One silly question ...

In the joint sponsor's form I mark the "I am the only joint sponsor" box, right?

I got RFE today. They said that they need IRS tax return transcripts for 2019. So I have situation that we filed our tax return together, and I needed submit form W4 to get ITIN before we will get our tax return. So we did our taxes in the ending of February and send all to IRS.  IRS was shout down all quarantine and didn’t start look our application so H&R Block said that we might wait about 11 weeks to get our tax return with ITIN number. So when I applied I give USCIS tax transcripts type income for 2019 year. So after that IRS started to look my documents just in June I don’t want to wait a lot of time to get my IRS tax return to give this to USCIS. Question, can I give to USCIS H&R Block tax return with explanation letter will it will be fine? Missouri office doesn’t have a number that I can call them and ask about that.

Sharing some very (possibly exciting) news!

My Timeline:

AOS packet filed May 22
NOA1 June 02

**Emergency Advanced Parole granted July 01**  During which, I had my Biometrics taken at my Local Field Office. I wasn't scheduled for my Biometrics with a notice related to my AOS yet, but they needed to take my prints etc in order to grant the emergency parole.

Today, (04 July) I woke up to an email saying my case status had changed. I logged on to MyUSCIS to see it wasn't for my EAD or AP, but my Adjustment of Status is 'Ready to be scheduled for Interview' and will be contacted shortly with the details!

This is obviously very exciting and a positive step, but I am really surprised as doesn't this seem VERY fast?! Unless this interview is actually for a Biometrics interview? I did ask the officer at my Emergency Advanced Parole meeting if they would still schedule me for a Biometrics interview seeing as they were loading my prints into the system there and then, and the officer said another Biometrics (for AOS) wouldn't be necessary. Could the fact that my Biometrics were entered into the system have triggered a much sooner than normal AOS interview? Or am I being too hopeful and the interview date they send me (if it is for the AOS interview and not Biometrics) will actually be for a date many months later in the year?

I am excited (and a bit confused!) Wondering if anyone has any thoughts or info? Or if anyone else has also gotten an interview date?

Sending positive thoughts out to everyone!

@GRASGM

The bottom line is be happy and thankful your case is ready to scheduled for interview. No telling how all this USCIS and other government mess is going to work out. I'm glad you got your emergency  AP!

Ready for interview to be scheduled only means that it will now move to your local field office and it will sit there till they schedule it. You can check past processing times for your LFO here on VJ. Some are fast, some are not. Also add about 3 months to what you see because of the closings.

It's definitely a good update but don't get too exited now 😉

All my documents, NOA-1 and RFE came from local office. Now I am confused. Is it just different departments?

Your NOA1 and the RFIE came from the NBC. It's not the same as your local office though in your case they might be in the same building.

I got an RFE for the K2 i485 saying it was either missing pages or some pages were from the wrong edition of the form. We immediately downloaded the form from the website, filled it out and sent it back in. Should be there by Wednesday. The RFE was from the NBC in Missouri. We are in CA. I suppose that after they are done with their part, our case will be sent to the local office. We are hoping to get advance parole before the end of the year, but I'm worried about all the delays. Does the biometric appointment have to happen before we get the EAD and/or the AP?

My understanding is yes, we need biometrics before AP/EAD. Glad you guys send the RFE already, we gonna send our response today. Btw we are also in CA!

Hi All, curious if anyone has been scheduled for biometrics. Our case was received on May 12th, Chicago office.

Nope. Everyone is waiting for them to reopen ASCs on July 13/July 20. It's unclear what dealing with the backlog of everyone who was scheduled in March/April who got their appointments cancelled will look like, and to work through all those who submitted in March/April/May. Add on top the potential for the USCIS furlough and it's pretty unclear what anyone's timeline who hasn't already completed biometrics looks like right now.
