Hi all, my wife went to her interview yesterday and it went very good. We were asked very few questions because the officer told us we had more than enough files we presented to them. He then told us my wife's visa was approved and to expect the visa in a few days. When I check the application status of the visa on CEAC it says 'administrative processing', does this basically mean they are preparing to issue the visa, or what does that entail? When I saw other people posting they all said they saw 'card being produced' and things like that. Anyway, thanks.

What kind of card is being produced?

I think it depends on the country. We're in Taiwan, which has the virus very under control.

Per this all embassies/consulates are closed to visa services unless there is an emergency case

Yep, I understand that, however here in Taiwan they're still doing interviews and non-routine visa issuances, there were other people that were being questioned as well. I'm not particularly sure what cancelled after March 20 means, as our interview was scheduled before that date. It could be the case that no new appointments are being made. However, I just saw that my wife's visa status on the status checker just changed to Issued !! Guess I got my own answer within a day, haha. Anyway, thanks all.

Don't understand your point, are you insinuating he's not telling the truth? He obviously had his interview.

Just got changed to issued like you said! Thanks for your help :)

Congrats!

It's always nerve racking but it's pretty normal procedure.

Congrats on getting the Visa issued!

Me and my fiance are still waiting for our I-129F being processed in California.

I came here to see if there was any news about AIT doing visa interviews because I couldn't find any info on the website.  Like you said there is pretty much zero COVID in Taiwan right now.

I was happy to see that you guys had your interview and that it went well.

Perhaps it is true that no new interviews are being scheduled...  We are hoping for our case to come out of the NVC around July timeframe if everything goes well.  Who knows where the COVID situation will be by then.
