I am having trouble understanding what pg 4, part 3, item 38 on the I-134 form is asking me. Whether I intend or not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in part 2? What does that mean? How am I supposed to answer that question? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated 😃

Are you limiting your support to something specific or is it unlimited.

YMMV

my understanding is unlimited support because I am filing I-129F for K1 so that means I have to be 100% financially supporting my fiance as he won't be able to work when he arrives to USA

Then you do not intend to make a specific contribution.

For a k1 it is really a meaningless question

Hello, I am curious. I noticed you said "filing", are you preparing the I-134 for the I-129F(Fiancee Petition) packet or are you preparing the I-134 for the interview? I asked because the I-134 does not need to be submitted with the Petition (I-129F).

In the new revised  I-134 form dated 2/28/2021 - Question #38 now regards contributions.  You leave the yes/no boxes "unchecked" and your explanation is submitted in Part 7 on page 8 of the new form.

You will do this:

3.a. "Page 4"

3.b. "Part Number 3"

3.c. "Item Number 38"

3.d. "N/A (K1 Visa Process For Permanent Residence)"

I did this but I clicked yes on that option for the I-134 when wife took it for her interview at the time for k1.

Either will work a YES or a NO as it has no bearing on the K-1 visa.
