I Please can anybody shed some light on this issue, My husband was supposed to file for both my son and I...but due to the requirements to prove me as his wife, and also my passport was expiring, We decided to put in my sons application before mine, I haven't submitted mine yet, I'm in the USA with my husband but my son is in Kenya. Does anybody know if this will affect my son's application since I haven't submitted mine yet?

Well in order to petition him, your husband has to prove that he's a stepparent, which is one of those indirect relationships. Essentially he needs to prove that you and the husband are married, married while the son was under 18, and your son is well... your son.

It's a bit unusual for a couple to marry and for the USC spouse to petition for the stepchild first but no, it wouldn't cause any issues.

Also what issues you mean exactly when you said "requirements to prove me as his wife", at the I-130 stage the only things you need is a marriage certificate, some ID from you, and proof that the petitioner is a USC/LPR. If you're worried about the financial stuff, don't be, you won't get an interview for like 12-18 months which is plenty of time to get joint bills and accounts.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

Congrats @bubblyheather

I got RFE, apparently I made a mistake and checked "Yes" for the gained citizenship by adoption. (which is not the case)

I am prepping a response to USCIS, hoping they do not decline the application.

which center approved your parents' cases? I applied for my parents on March 08, 2020; but only my mom got approved for I-130 last October 2020 and my dad has been still processing. I cannot do the next step for my mom since my dad is presently in that processing status. I'm super worried and dont know what I should do for my dad's application :(

NVC approved both application the same day for my parents. I am waiting for both cases to be Document Qualified after the RFE it might take few months but can't do anything but to wait.

I am sorry its taking long for your dads case to get approved. While waiting I would like to suggest that you start collecting required documents for both of them. It took me a while to get all the documents because some of them needs to be renewed and due to lockdown it took a long .

Thank you for your suggestion. I prepared all those paperwork at the time of application. Do you think that my dad's case is in the normal processing time? In fact, there were many cases approved very fast or in a year, but my dad is over a year (13 months 1 week)...
