Just received an email from NVC. They rejected my marriage certificate stating that my country requires more than one marriage certificate. :( I’m trying to upload the documents which are compressed but it’s not letting me. Can I upload the documents at (additional document upload) option?

are you saying that the size of the documents is too big, or that you're unable to overwrite the previous upload with the new upload which totals less than 2MB?

Yes, you can go ahead and do that. Submit under additional documents and write a simple comment.

I see people asking about priority date. Can someone explain the PD to me? I thought that spousal visas don't go by PD?

I mean i HAVE a PD but the PD date is the same as my I-130 received date - 25 Feb 2019.

Just don't understand why some are concerned with PD and wonder if I should be to.

As you all know I got RFE today. I was just going to upload some documents. But confused about this thing. NVC says Translation documents should be included in one PDF file with the original document. And that each file should be under 2 MB so if I’m gonna upload all the pages in one, file, can it be of more than 2 MB? Or the whole pages (file) should be under 2 mb?

Maybe they can give you specific instructions in Pakistan subforum because I remember it’s very specific for PK. If I remember correct you have two marriage certs that are required with translation. All should be scanned into one document which must be under 2MB. I noticed that scanner apps can be tricky for multi page documents from the size. I personally ended up going to a copy shop for scanning because I had a 12 page document that scanner apps couldn’t produce in less than 3.6MB (even after compression), and a regular scanner brought it to 867kb at 200dpi resolution

Yes you’re right about the marriage certificate. They want the translation of my original certificate even though I did submit the registration certificate. Well thanks for being such a great help. ♥️

For Pakistan, they want the original Nikkah Nama (religious marriage certificate) and the English translation.

I just got my NVC letter today so I am new here.please I really need answers to this; Is it possible for me to pay the required fees with NVC while I wait for the lock down in my country to be lifted so that I can have my international passport renewed and police clearance certificate?

Go ahead and pay it if you can. It takes about 2-3 days for payment to go through. NVC is a 1 year contract so you have 1 year to take case of everything.

If they’re too large it’ll tell you when you try to upload. There’s a page called smallpdf.com where you can make the files smaller if you need to
