Then the category likely doesn’t allow for it.

I agree with you here. I got a message from NVC saying something about  my son can not travel with my wife on that visa category, however, i already got my son his CRBA so that message was moot.

Yes it’s confusing at times. I believe F2A (spouse of LPR) for instance allows for derivatives, while CR1/IR1 does not and the child needs it’s own I-130 (or CRBA if qualified).

But generally I trust the ceac with this - if nobody can be added to applicant section than it’s likely because of the visa category. I think I read some pages back that the poster said IR5, and I noted that I thought that category doesn’t allow but they sounded convinced so I doubted myself. I can’t find the post. Maybe it was somebody else :)

Anyone still waiting for a DQ with their submission date being in the beginning of March?

We’re end of March still waiting if that helps. Since they’re officially still at mid February cases, we can do nothing but wait and be happy for all the March/April/May filers that get DQ

My question still remains, I wonder how NVC is pulling cases for review?

Nope. Still the same. How long did it take with yours though? It hasn't been 3 weeks for us yet...

User 9000miles posted this quality information in a different thread.  I am reposting here as this is quality information, and a much more popular thread.  9000miles provided all the links and great information, kudos to that poster.

Cambodia starting visa waiver/drop off processing June 3: https://kh.usembassy.gov/notice-on-visa-services/

Sweden's update seems to imply visa interviews could occur shortly:

An Indian embassy mentioned they're accepting non-immigrant interview appointment rescheduling starting in October: https://twitter.com/USAndMumbai/status/1266426133513244675

The global suspension of visa processing doesn't appear to have lifted so it's unclear if that has an unpublished expiration date, embassies can start operations at their leisure, or the that the state department may ask the above examples to pause longer.

I would strongly advice watching embassy news sites, embassy twitter feeds (including their replies to other) as these are the official US government updates on these matters, and that appointments opening without the embassies acknowledging it may be a limitation of their systems on how long the interviews can be paused for."

Well another month down. Congratulations to all the New Arrivals from USCIS and the DQ's.

Everyone just keep watching your embassies website also if you are on Facebook you should be following your embassy they announce movement there usually first.

Keep your eyes also on travel.state.gov for what will be opening up. Until the US takes off the travel ban and opens up the embassies will not open up.

Good luck to you all stay strong and stay positive.
