OK so it's not like the DS 260 or the electronic I-130 where you have to fill in the document online? Should I have my spouse print and sign an original .pdf then? All of the documents are ready at the gate! :D

Correct, this form needs to be printed out, signed, then scanned and uploaded into the system in the petitioner's section. There is a folder already there for you to upload it to.

One other question - I noticed that the list of requested documents once I completed the DS 260 was considerably shorter than for the I-130. Should I still upload everything I sent in for the I-130 or just stick to what was requested? For example, I have not been requested to upload documents in respect of my spouse's previous marriages, but I had to upload those for the I-130 application and on the NVC help page, it says to upload Petitioner Documents, even though my Civil Document portfolio nor my consular processing specifically requested those items. Is it bad to give them too much? Should I stick to the request? Or do I give them everything again? Thanks for your help.

The NVC website says that you have to upload certified copies of all marriage certificates and all marriage termination documents.

This page should be helpful for any other question you have regarding what documents need to be uploaded for the DS 260.

Yes, I saw that on there. Just on my actual request for documents on CEAC it did not request petitioner documents. I'm doing consular processing, so the reason why I ask is that I have to bring originals of all documents I submit through CEAC with me to the consular interview. By rights, I should not have the originals of my husband's divorce papers from previous marriages, so I was wondering if that's why they didn't ask me to submit these through CEAC. I would say that he probably has to submit them with the AOS, but of course, that part of our application has stalled (see above).

If I have to bring originals of my husband's divorce papers from his marriages before ours, then I am assuming they won't ask him for the same paperwork at his interview, since we can't have two original sets - one where I am and one where he is - unless, of course, the interviews are staggered enough so that he could, in effect, courier the originals to me prior to my consular interview.

That's why I'd like clarification. I can submit .pdfs of everything; it's the request for originals that will potentially cause delays if, when everything reopens, our interviews are scheduled too close to each other.

Thanks.

Ah good point. On the AOS, the petitioner is only submitting financial documents proving their ability to support the applicant, so there's not a folder there to upload the previous marriage documents. As for the documents section for the applicant, that seems to be generated based on your answers on the DS260, along with whatever folders are required for every applicant.

However, if you look on the Applicant Document Upload section, click on Add a Document and you will see in the dropdown there is an option to select PETITIONERS MARRIAGE TERMINATION DOCUMENTATION. At this point they are just looking for PDF copies of the official originals or certified copies. So you would upload the PDF now and then bring an official copy to the interview.

Thank you! That's exactly what I thought about uploading before USCIS processes more cases. That's why I uploaded the same day o got the RFE on May 19th.

I wanted to tell you that I had a mindfart moment - we submitted docs for the first time on May 22, not 5/18.

I'll be watching your timeline for the RFE approval!

Do I need to translate the documents before I submit them?

if my little sister is coming with my father do I need to submit her passport or can it be just the pictures since she still doesn’t have the passport?

If the documents are in the language of the country of the benificiary then no. No translation needed.

Is your little sister applying for a visa too?
