May 4th NVC submission date, May 26th documentarily qualified...

Crazy how fast things are proceeding nowadays (initial I-130 filing January 31st).. I was counting on the process taking around 11 months to get to the Consular stage, since that is how long I have left for my 212(e) home country residency requirement. Unpopular wish here but I hope it'll take a whiiiile for me to be assigned an interview date 😅

We got the RFE on May 10, and submitted the documents the next day. We then got a "document needed" on May 26, uploaded the document on the 27th, and were DQ'd on the 28th.

Congrats!

Question regarding the i-864 application

1. Part 2 (Information about Principal Immigrant), the mailing address numbering 2A. Who's mailing address has to be there? Sponsor's or Principal Immigrant's?

2. I have read that we are suppose to put N/A for unanswered questions, but I can't even type '/'. So is it better to leave it blank?

3. Part 5 (Sponsor's Household Size), questions 3 to 7 does not apply to me, should I leave it blank or put 0 instead?

2. I left blank , no problem.

3. You can put 0 or leave blank.

Hi - sorry if this was posted earlier but when I got here there were 72 pages of stuff to look at.

Is there normally a delay in processing of payment of Petitioner fees for AoS versus Applicant Fees? My spouse and I paid our fees at the same time on the same date from the same bank account. My fees have cleared and I've completed my DS 260. My spouse's fees still say IN PROCESS. They have taken the money out of our account.

Further, my son is also coming with me and I paid his fees one day later. His fees have been processed but my spouse's fees still say IN PROCESS. It's been 9 business days since we submitted the fees. If this is normal, I won't worry. But if it isn't normal, let me know what you think we should do. We can't afford to pay fees twice and I have a receipt and my bank statement proving they've taken the funds.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Quite a few of us (including me) have been experiencing this issue and still waiting it to be resolved. And I don't think it is normal. I think something is wrong at their end needs to be fixed by them. So far what I did was contacted NVC and they said they will have a Supervisor review my complaint. And also submitted an inquiry and a screenshot of the error at nvc.state.gov/inquiry .
Because of this, the application DS 260 cannot be reviewed either so basically we are stuck. I will wait till Monday and call them again if this doesn't get resolved.

Thank you very much! I will also call later and file a complaint. But I am glad to know I'm not the only one.

You can still fill up the i-864 form in the meantime. When the issue is resolved, all you need to do is upload all the documents.

OK so it's not like the DS 260 or the electronic I-130 where you have to fill in the document online? Should I have my spouse print and sign an original .pdf then? All of the documents are ready at the gate! :D
