Êtes-vous d'abord soumis ou s'agit-il d'une nouvelle soumission de document en raison d'un RFE ?

SO CLOSE! They rejected our Police Report... which doesn't make any sense as we followed their guidelines for Australia smh.Β

Β

BUT! I was approved to sponsor my husband with a TAX RETURN and current employment letter and pay stubs. A police report is EASY to figure out!

First submission. I-130 was approved March 4th, first submission to NVC March 31st. Our case was IOE so we received WL same day as I-130 approval

Hi everyone!

Β

I just got my NVC welcome letter, and paid all the fees. In the meantime, I am reviewing the forms online while waiting for the fees to clear.Β

Β

I know we are supposed to include our most recent tax transcript for 2020. I filed taxes back in early February. I had to file via paper/snail mail because IRS did not accept e-filings for non-resident aliens (NRA) in the social security fields (my wife lives in Canada).Β

Β

Since there is no telling when I will receive my return/have an IRS transcript generated for this year, is there something else I can submit in lieu of it? Can I submit H&R Block Tax Return documents?Β

Β

Thanks so much for the adviceΒ in advance!!Β

Hi!

First and foremost - I assume you mean 2019 taxes since 2020 isn’t due until April next year.

Currently you can still use 2018 tax transcript as most recent for NVC, since tax deadline was extended through July and there is no legal requirement to have filed yet.

If you definitely want to use 2019 tax, you can use the return (1040) instead, and also submit all income sources (W2, 1099, whatever it is) referring to the 1040. We do know that NVC prefers transcripts (hence I personally went with 2018), but it’s really up to you.

Same here. I am waiting for them to clear up AOS payment so I can start the application. Called them this morning and they said they will have the supervisor look into it. Not sure how long it's going to take up to clear up the payment so we can go ahead and fill up the remaining forms and start the review process.

They told me yesterday it could take up to 6 weeks.. boy was I mad 😑.. but it took two days to remove my money πŸ™„πŸ™„

Submit an inquiry and a screenshot of the error at nvc.state.gov/inquiry . That might be a faster route. I'm waiting on an inquiry I submitted friday night. The rep told me to do this. I hope mine gets fixed soon.
