Do u have someone in the US that will take a txt message code from the irs to access your account?

Let me give a bit of a longer clarification. We both live abroad and have over the last 10 years. All of my US taxes have been filed using a foreign address which means that in the Get Transcript tool on the IRS website, it never really recognizes foreign addresses so that's one hurdle that is hard if not impossible to overcome. On top of that I could use my parents cell phone numbers, but those are all not registered to my name, so I think those are not able to be used either. Moral of the story, especially with the transcripts not able to be mailed at this time, I don't know if it's possible to get a hold of a tax transcript.

Sorry I guess I should have written this out more clearly at the outset!!

they will update their website Monday with the submission date they're currently working on which should be a good indicator on the remaining wait time

Yup, upon entry the passport will be stamped with I-551 stamp which serves as greencard which allows you to work. However, one might have to wait for the SS card to arrive, I believe the SS number is needed so your employer can pay you, and your income tax

we've seen some out-of-the-line fast approvals lately, but generally NVC is working on submissions from early April: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

An updated date will be provided at some time tomorrow - usually it moves by 5-7 days, let's see if that changes :)

It says reviewing documents from February, not April.

Hi Raj,

My apologies I don't know the answer to your question and I just made it to the NVC stage. Can you please tell me about this verification letter that is needed from the employer please?

Hi there,

LIKE THE OTHER FELLOW FILER SAID AND I ALSO HEARD IT MAY  NOT BE NECESSARY IF YOU HAVE RECENT PAY STUBS. HOWEVER, TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE YOU MIGHT NEED ONE. IN MY CASE; l just asked my employer HUMAN RESOURCE (HR) DEPARTMENT TO WRITE ME AN OFFICIAL EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION LETTER. SOMETIMES THEY SAYS THEY USE THIRD PARTY VERIFICATION AND CANNOT WRITE ONE FOR YOU BUT ITS  A LIE. HAVE THE PERSONAL WRITE IT FOR YOU. MAKE SURE THEY PUT YOUR HIRING DATE, COMPANY LOGO AND HR CONTACT NUMBER, MOST IMPORTANTNLY THE SINGATURE OF A PERSON WHO IS WRITING.

As of May 4th NVC is reviewing documents from February 13th.

Just 2 days difference from last week

Hmm, that’t not great. But it seems for us spouses it’s the wild west at NVC at the moment, randomly approving .. maybe they do work on the LPR’s but in a reduced manner? So most of the staff is working on the spouses/investors and some staff on LPR’s to keep the backlog somewhat manageable? Otherways the 2 days wouldn’t make any sense.. i don’t know what to think anymore 🤷‍♀️

I´ve also had this problem with the international address and phone number. I ended up calling the IRS and having the transcripts mailed to a friend in the USA and having her Fedex it to me...

Ugh how is this possible? I'm literally so confused as to what is going on considering so many people from later dates are getting DQ'ed! I wish they could clarify it to us a little better as to what is occurring now with everything going on.

Exactly! Although we see later submission dates that people post here. I don’t understand those dates were not recorded as processed dates...

Not good. Hopefully it means they figure out that they have some files left from Feb.
