They are married filing separately for taxes but they do live together

Ok, so have her fill out an I864A attached to the Principal Sponsors I864. She's gonna have to show proof of residence, proof of relationship to sponsor, proof of LPR or USC. That way she will be able to add her Income to his. So say he makes 30,000 a year and she make 20,000 yearly then that will bump up the income level to 50,000. My question, however, does she qualify on her own to Sponsor both kids?

She makes about $33,000 a year...So basically she's gonna be a joint sponsor for her kids???

You said her husband is the petitioner right? So he will be the Primary Sponsor. What is the total household size? The reason I'm asking is because she could either be a Joint sponsor or a household me depending on the household size and what's more beneficial in their situation. She could be either or depending on the circumstance.

Household size is 2...Yes, the husband is the primary sponsor but she wants to be a joint sponsor to show that they are above the poverty lines for the 2 kids...That's why I'm asking if she(kids mother) should add her documents under joint sponsor or Household member

Ok, so you can add her as a household member. Like I previously stated. Have the husband fill out a I864 and have her fill out an I 864A That way they can both add their incomes. If its the petitioner (husband) the household member (wife) and the 2 beneficiaries (both Kids) then the household size will be 4, that is assuming there is no other dependents. I would advice to have her fill her own I864 if the income was way over the income level stated by the USCIS. If its done the way I suggested then both incomes, her husband's and her income will be added to the total household income.

Hi all

We just got accepted in the NVC stage (20th May).

As a fairly new to this process, it is not clear to me regarding the police certificates, do we need to provide from each single country that we resided for more than 6 months, including US?

thanks in advance!

I lived abroad for 9 months and the documents page requested my pcc from the foreign country. So I requested it via mail and uploaded it.

I got DQ in January on first submission so if its not a big deal Id say upload the police certificate(s)

Service Center: Texas Service Center SRC

Consulate: Juarez, Mexico

I-130 NOA1: 2019/03/21

I-130 NOA2: 2019/09/17

NVC DQ: 2020/01/21

Visa Approved: 2021/07/01

It seems like the documents section might just create a folder for each country you list in your previous addresses section, regardless of how long you were there. We had an address that was for less than 6 months and it also had a folder for it on the documents page. We didn't get a police certificate for that one but put a comment stating that the length of stay was less than required for needing a certificate. I haven't heard back from NVC yet though, so hopefully this solution works.

@Zoisdem  When filling out form ds 260 they ask you for previous address. And you need to put every address where you live more than 6 months and you were 16 or older.

I’m Venezuelan and I’ve been living in Mexico City over a year now and they asked for my PCC from Venezuela and from Mexico, (which I’m still waiting for the government agencies to reopen and go to get it).

I understand. At the time I was uploading docs there was another member who was advised by their lawyer to upload the PC anyway and I followed their advice 😊

Even though it was stressing, the whole process was much easier than I thought.

Its your call and its worked for other people so fingers crossed 😁

Yours is probably the safer way to go lol. I just uploaded last week and with all the shutdowns it was going to be harder so hopefully the webpage is right that we don't need it!

Congrats on your DQ! Hope you get to the end of the process soon!

After two months of gathering docs and stuff getting lost in the mail we FINALLY get to submit our docs tomorrow!

Our DS260 was approved last week, thankfully/surprisingly, what a PITA document...

Are you saying your DS-260 was reviewed/approved before you submitted civil docs and AOS? How were you notified of the approval? Curious about it because NVC states they don’t review partially completed cases.
