AFAIK, change to "At NVC" might, just might, on occasion mean DQ; luckily, it did in our case. My understanding is that for most people the status is "Submit requested documents" while the case is sitting at NVC waiting for approval; it was for us.

The nice lady on the phone said that we should expect the confirmation E-mail within cca. 1 week. She gave me the DQ date of 4/29.

that's great, congratulations! In our case it changed to "at nvc" the day we submitted our documents.

When you log in to CEAC does your status say DQ?

Thanks. But, now congratulations does not matter anymore. This immigration make me so exhausted and now does not feel anything.

You do have a point. Look at the bright side. You just have to wait for interview appointment date now, no more dealing with NVC

The applicant (my wife) currently cannot obtain the Police Clearance Certificate from the Passport Office in Mumbai due to the COVID national lockdown order in India. Could the DS-260 and other supporting documents be processed without it for now? She will bring  the original Police Clearance Certificate with her to the interview when the consulate opens up.

Has anybody had success trying to submit without the PCC, or will the NVC simply return the application as incomplete even with the current situation?

Hi all,

I have just received the welcome letter from NVC so I am starting to collect my documents.

Is it correct that my education certificates (From the UK) need to be evaluated to show US equivalency? I was never aware that educational certificates were ever asked for. I wanted to double check before I go ahead with the timely and fairly expensive service to do this.

Thanks,

No need for those at NVC stage, or during immigration process for that matter.

Depending on the field you work in, it will be required before you start work since they need to be confirmed equal with the US standard, and you might have to do equivalency exams or such, but that really depends

Please check the NVC April filer group, several have explained there what they did. Short story yes, you can do that, but we don't have many DQ's yet that confirm the process since NVC is reviewing February and the issue came up starting March.

Hope this helps!
