Hey guys.

Just curious if anyone had heard anything from their embassies or is everything still on limited staff?

Felt like forever to get to another feeling of waiting forever lol

If you follow NVC timeline you will you have an idea. For example, I submitted Feb 20th and added an additional document april 23rd. NVC website states they are reviewing documents submitted Feb 13. If that timeline had reached March and my documents were not reviewed then I would definitely think I was pushed back because of April last submission. That's just my theory.

Ah thanks, I did know about that timeline, I was just curious if there was somewhere a date was listed on the site that would change if you got pushed back. Frustrating to only know in hindsight if adding documents later changed your date. I'm glad it didn't affect the outcome for you!

As far as I know all interviews are still suspended. We've heard about Australia having done some emergency interviews, but that's all

Feb 24th 2020 document submission to NVC:

Today we almost got DQ, instead we got RFE for Police Certificate only.. There are 3 entities here in Guatemala that provide this service. We submitted certificates for 2 of them and not the 3rd, they wanted the certificates from the 3rd. So, will send explanation of offices being shutdown and hopefully I can present the papers during the interview. Hopefully not going all the way to the back of the line 😩

Reporting another DQ today!!

First and only submission 2/20, DQ today.

So happy to see all the Feb submissions being approved these past couple of days. I know there are people submitted before me still waiting and how hard it can be seeing people submitted days, weeks, months after you to get DQ'ed before you and not knowing what is going on. Hang in there Feb submissions! It seems like NVC is working in somewhat of a normal order now, so any day now!

1. Do we need to upload passport photos to NVC? Also how many 2x2 passport photos do we need in total for the interview and the visa?

2. We are having trouble finding a scanner. Do you guys think it's a bad idea to try and submit smartphone photos of the documents?

After you submit the DS-260 you get access to folders to upload your files. There is a folder called Photographs, which when I asked on here people said to upload a passport photo here. The documentation says you should bring 2 passport photos to the interview.

I don't have a scanner or printer either (I do at my office but I don't currently have access to it). I just used a scanner app on my phone, one that takes pictures of the documents and converts them to PDF.

Hi, sorry to hear that. Did they tell you that you needed all 3 entities? For the MP I know you can get a copy online. This is the link https://consultasmp.mp.gob.gt/antecedentesConsulta/index.html?q= I would try and get it online. Your chances are better off with submitting the right PCC.

Hi All!

I am waiting for DQ. I am seeing that some people around or even after my date are getting their DQ. I’m still F2A. My husbands oath ceremony got de-scheduled in March because of COVID and so I am still not a Immediate relative. Does the category affect the processing of the documents submitted to NVC?

My PD: August 29 2019

NVC document submission: Feb 20, 2020

Also, I called about NVC regarding the reviewing time frame date only moving 2 days in the last 2 weeks and she said it was just because of reduced staff.

NVC has been really slow these past weeks. It's just incredible how they only got work done for 2 days worth of document submissions.

This is the one that was missing. I submitted the request today, the instructions are somewhat vague, but I’ll see if I can pull one. Thanks for the link, took me a while to find it in the afternoon.

Just a question, did they accept the other 2 you submitted?
