When submitting the Civil Documents for the DS-260, do you have to submit passport photographs at this time? There's a folder for it, but the government's website listing out required documents doesn't mention them.

For those of you who got a DQ did you submit without the passport photos, knowing you'll just be bringing them to the interview like they request, or did you upload them to the site as well?

They aren't listed on this page, just the photocopy of the biographic data page of your passport, which is what makes it confusing.

Maybe someone who got dq from April can help others get an answer from nvc about others before who didn't!

Someone can call and ask how come they got dq while their friends from march are still waiting!😃 just a thought🤔

I called today, mainly regarding a different question but I remembered to ask and the lady was very nice but said that she doesn’t have any insight into that and I truly believe that. If the helpful reps would know such technical details they would have to take too many complaints to deal with. That would result in NVC number becoming just as unhelpful as USCIS number after a while, due to overload 😄

Maybe when they updated the website they forgot to put that it’s needed, but you have to upload the passport picture. It’s what they will use for the visa, and I’m sure if you don’t upload the picture now they will ask you for it when they review your documents. If you can’t go somewhere to take a picture you can use your phone :)

Thanks! I guess I was thinking that since they say you'll have to bring two physical copies of the photo to the interview that's what they would use for the Visa. Regardless I'm thinking we'll just take a picture on a phone and upload that to be safe and then get physical copies when it's easier to do so.

They didn’t ask for my passport pictures at my interview. I’m not sure if they forgot or If they just don’t ask for them in my country, and I also forgot to give the pictures to them too 😅 but they used the picture I had uploaded on CEAC.

Let us know what they say. I’ll call later on when it’s not as busy.

I called and what the rep basically told me was that I have to wait for my turn for documents to be reviewed. Im currently to be reviewed for docs submitted on the 6th of April. The rep was pretty nice, He told me they are working on speeding the process up, but for now I have to wait. They're working on docs that submitted as of Febuary 13th.

Submitted in Feb and no updates so far. It's so depressing to see NVC giving out DQs all over the place. We also tried calling and basically got told "I don't know what you are talking about, just shut up and wait in line."

I do wonder, should we try to add some additional documents on CEAC to shake the dust off our files? Might risk to be put to the back of the line (as if we are not currently at the back of the line lol). Are there any additional actions we can take other than calling?

I would not add any more documents. It will only take you back further. Just be a little more patient.

You'll have to download it from USCIS website, fill out, print, sign, scan, upload to NVC account. Make sure to scan all pages, even if you don't fill anything out on the last two pages.

Form I-864ez is the easiest to fill out. You can only use it if ALL of the below apply to you:

You may use Form I-864EZ if ALL the following conditions apply:
1. You are the person who filed or is filing Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, for a relative being sponsored;
2. The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed on Form I-130; and
3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Internal
Revenue Service (IRS) Form W-2s provided by your employers or former employers.

If not, you'll use the I-864. The I-864A I BELIEVE is for household members that serve as co-sponsor. A non-household member co-sponsor would also have to file the I-864. But on this part I'd have to let others confirm, because I used the I-864ez and don't know the specifics for co-sponsoring.

Sorry guys, have so many questions but bear with me.  I read up on the instructions and you're right, I should be completing the I-864EZ which I have already started working on.

1. Is that the I-864EZ form that that gets completed first on the NVC website or the DS-260?

2. On the I-864EZ , I'm being asked for a USCIS number. I filed my I-130 online (first time using the service) and looked at the profile page per the instructions but did not see one. Should i have one?

3. I will be requesting for the IRS to send me transcripts of my tax returns so I can upload with the I-864EZ form.  I am yet to file my 2019 tax return since we have a deadline of July 15 this year. Would it be okay to just provide transcripts of my 2016 through  2018  tax returns to meet the income requirement ?
