A popular dog website reported this week that dogs will be speaking in 25 years.

Iheartdogs.com, which sells pet supplies and publishes a blog, made the bold assertion based on statements from MIT scientists.

Additionally, the article implied that some dogs in the MIT study were already talking, but it failed to produce any video to back that up.

Honestly talking dogs would be super cool but one of the greatest things about dogs is there's no judgement. So let's change that right? I can't wait to hear what my dog thinks of me based on everything he's seen. 

 

And if the article is accurate why in the world are they teaching them the word pickaxe? In what scenario would this be a word my dog needs to know?

I think dogs already communicate quite well. Can't imagine if the little guy started talking. Such a diva. He'd tell me how much he's in love with me and how much he hates my husband hugging me. Also he'd demand cheese 24/7 and yell outside the bathroom door. Most dog's I've owned have a really good memory for vocabulary and the last one could even understand spelling.

       "Let's hear him say something," said the station manager.

       "Boy, what does sandpaper feel like?" asked the man to the dog.

       "Ruff!" said the dog.

       "What's on top of a house?" asked the man.

       "Roof!" said the dog.

       "Who was the greatest baseball player of all time?" asked the man.

       "Ruth!" said the dog.

       "GET OUT OF HERE!" shouted the station manager, throwing them out and slamming his door.

       As the man and dog composed themselves outside, the dog asked the man, "Do you suppose I should have said 'Gehrig'?"

A guy spots a sign outside a house that reads “Talking Dog for Sale.” Intrigued, he walks in.
“So what have you done with your life?” he asks the dog.

“I’ve led a very full life,” says the dog. “I lived in the Alps rescuing avalanche victims. Then I served my country in Iraq. And now I spend my days reading to the residents of a retirement home.”

The guy is flabbergasted. He asks the dog’s owner, “Why on Earth would you want to get rid of an incredible dog like that?”

The owner says, “Because he’s a liar! He never did any of that!”
