From the NVC, it took mine 5 weeks but we asked for our case number and invoice number via phone from NVC. Then WL came the next week. Service Centre was NBC.

@MitchEdi Can you please check your approval notice and confirm if its look like the same ? I was worried as it does not mention about NVC in the notice.

I had mine submitted to Texas and I think it was later transferred to NBC

This is mine. Different from yours mine says NVC.

It is kind of weird it doesn't mention NVC. Please see below my approval notice. You may call USCIS and ask about it. However, I'll not be too much worry since consulates can process your immigrant visa like NVC. It will be like asking for an expedite before completing the steps in NVC

Did you apply for adjustment status and did you apply your beneficiary together with your application?

If you applied for a greencard and you applied your beneficiary together with you, I think the applucation/docs will go straight to the consulate or embassy to the country where he/she resides and not to NVC. Unless if you applied first then you petitioned your beneficiary later on, after the petition got approved at USCIS, the next stage will be NVC. Thats what I know.

@MitchEdi I have applied I-824 after my green card is approved. Now it make more nervousthta  if I have filed it incorrectly or its USCIS error.

More likely uscis error. Ring them and update us here please. Hope everything ends up in your favour.

They will not send to NVC until your visa category is current.

My I-824 application is approved on 03/04/2021. I haven't received any updates or welcome letter from USCIS yet. On my approval notice of I-824  under the section: I am requesting that a US consulate to be notified. Consulate: Kathmandu. 

I have called NVC today and they respond me that as your notice mention that to notified to consulate NVC haven't received any update from USCIS. Please let me know if you guys have written something on your approval notice. I have applied I-824 for my spouse who is currently out of the states.  How long does it take to receive welcome notice from NVC ?

 

Hi. When did you file the I-824? They received mine on August 3, 2020. No correspondence since. I now see that the processing time has changed to 6-89 months. Makes me nervous.

I have filed on October 16, 2020 and requested for expedited process.

@drmsapna do you mind if I ask you what reason did you give for expedite process? I heard that they hardly accept expedite request so asking.

I heard expedite for l824 is almost useless. Mine says Case was transferred and new office has jurisdiction. Not sure what that means.
