@F2J_March : Not Yet. I saw few of your post where you were contemplating  about going the Kathmandu Consulate. I am in the same boat. Wanted to know if you explored the option through Kathmandu .

Are you from Nepal???

@datafateI gave a thought about it and spoke with my lawyer as well but could not find clear answer if US Embassy in Kathmandu is scheduling interviews of not. Hence did not change consulate. Also, I was scared my dq date would be changed to later date if I go that route. Will all kind of uncertainities, I decided to wait here only.

Atleast, here we know who is getting imterview and all. In Kathmandu, i have zero clue and not sure how to know.

And yes, I am from Nepal. What is your dq date?

No, not yet. Nvc has not scheduled my interview. It has been 5 months since DQ. My case is an Immediate Relative category but I don't know. My post charge is Monrovia, Liberia.

Hi Everyone,

My I-824 application is approved on 03/04/2021. I haven't received any updates or welcome letter from USCIS yet. On my approval notice of I-824  under the section: I am requesting that a US consulate to be notified. Consulate: Kathmandu.

I have called NVC today and they respond me that as your notice mention that to notified to consulate NVC haven't received any update from USCIS. Please let me know if you guys have written something on your approval notice. I have applied I-824 for my spouse who is currently out of the states.  How long does it take to receive welcome notice from NVC ?

Did you do anything ? I am in the same boat

It depends on your embassy, my embassy informed me that I would be scheduled for interview after they reschedule all the COVID -19 cancelled appts.  So I would be hearing something in December/January.  I was DQ'd in June 2020.

To expedite your case, you will need to have a very specific reason, also it depends upon your embassy and how behind on rescheduling COVID-19 cancelled appts.  Those appts have priority over your expedite request.
