@datafateI gave a thought about it and spoke with my lawyer as well but could not find clear answer if US Embassy in Kathmandu is scheduling interviews of not. Hence did not change consulate. Also, I was scared my dq date would be changed to later date if I go that route. Will all kind of uncertainities, I decided to wait here only.

 

Atleast, here we know who is getting imterview and all. In Kathmandu, i have zero clue and not sure how to know.

 

And yes, I am from Nepal. What is your dq date?

I looked at the Monthly Stats for  EB visa issues in Kathmandu Consulate. I think they are doing pretty good.

Just saw ur guys post and thought of sharing my case as well. I was Dq'd May 12 (follow to join) but no IL yet. In which country are you both waiting for interviews and what's your DQ date?

@datafate thanks for the response, I am not sure about KTM but I know Canada is very backlogged right now. I know someone who got dq last year in Feb is still waiting for interview.

No, not yet. Nvc has not scheduled my interview. It has been 5 months since DQ. My case is an Immediate Relative category but I don't know. My post charge is Monrovia, Liberia.

To expedite your case, you will need to have a very specific reason, also it depends upon your embassy and how behind on rescheduling COVID-19 cancelled appts.  Those appts have priority over your expedite request.
