We just got back our AOS package sent back to us in the mail today by the USCIS, for the following reason:

"This is in reference to the I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, you submitted. Your I-485, fees, and any supporting documentation is being returned to you for the following reason(s):

The application/petition was filed on a outdated version of this form. Please resubmit your application/petition on the current version of this form with the appropriate fees to the address listed on the bottom of this page"

Upon reviewing what we sent, we found out that we used an old version of the I-485 😢, the rest of the forms were current. Do we submit the same package sent back to us (i.e., same Form I-765, I-131, I-944, I-864) along with the the updated i-485? Or do we have to reprint everything, sign all the forms, and/or update the affidavits to reflect bank balances changes, etc.?

Has anyone else had to do this? Is there any additional advice or anything else we should know?

Also, can someone confirm the fees for this? We filed with $1,225.00. Just want to make sure we are correct.

Thank you in advance!

This happened to us. We mailed in the forms February 26 (should have been paying attention and submitted just a couple days earlier) and received them back a couple weeks later.

There is a new I-485, I-944, and I-864. So you'll need to do those over again (or for the first time with the I-944). But I'd advise that you double check all the files on the USCIS website just for your peace of mind that everything is current.

Our new set of forms was delivered April 18 and we just got the texts last night. It'll all work out. Good luck!
