Hi all just curious if there are any recent DQs for Montreal and if you have received an interview date?

Anything recent would not receive an interview date.  They will have to reschedule cancelled interviews first.

Thx for sharing this spreadsheet. It was an eye opener for me.

Honestly, I am shocked to see wait times to get interview date from Montreal consulate. It is insane. I am not even approved for I-130 still it is depressing to see people are waiting on an average 4-6 month just to schedule an interview. Seriously in this technology era

Now Covid-19 suspend all visa interview processing and who knows it will add another 2-3 month top of 4-6 months wait times. They should consider allowing other consulates to schedule spouse interviews. It will reduce their backlog and improve efficiency.

It's not normally this bad. They stopped scheduling CR1/IR1 cases for a few months last summer (no one knows why) and that's why the current backlog is so big, it used to be about 2-3 months from DQ to interview. Hopefully by the time you're DQ they'll have cleared out some if not all of it :)

It’ll be slower once everything opens up...with that huge backlog of cases!

Getting all the documents together for NVC now... beginning to question if we should just look to do an AOS with this whole COVID-19 shutdown though... beginning to wonder what will be more efficient and right for us at this point.

What process are you using an aos with? Sorry I'm confused how that would be quicker than waiting for interview.

Basically got kind of stuck here in USA with COVID-19. So file for AOS. Might not be quicker in the long run, but allows me to wait it out with my spouse. No idea when Montreal consulate will open and how long to clear the backlog is my concern.

You can just file for an aos? Interesting.

Well that's what I am in the process of researching. There is another post out there with a similar situation, and people have mentioned that it could be an option.
