So, I think I am nearing the tail end of compiling everything needed to finally put the I-944 together.  So, there seems to be sooo many parts that need further explanation...for example lack of credit score/report, etc.  Any explanation I had, for any details requiring more description, I put under Part 9 Additional information and wrote a small note about each, OR should I write a more thorough explanatory letter with each item.  For lack of credit score I did this:  took a screen shot of an error page while attempting to retrieve a credit report and at the top of the page I simply put:

name, A#, page #, part #, and item # (which part of the i-944 this obtains to).  All of this was followed by a short explanation that due to her recent arrival via the K1 that it's impossible for her to have a credit score/report.

Sorry for the long winded questions and I know I am probably overthinking every little thing.  I just need to send it all in and NOT hold my breath.  UGH.

Any advice though would be appreciated.

Hi Karina, I think you're approaching it correctly. You should write a short note (for smaller issues, anyway) regarding why you've done what you've done. So if you had screenshots of your attempt to get a credit score, then that's probably enough evidence to prove that you don't have a credit score because you don't yet have a SSN. You also have to realize that this i-944 isn't specifically designed for K visa entrants. It's for those folks who are adjusting status, many of whom may be living in the US for a long time and may have credit score, financial history, etc. So, don't overthink the requirements if they don't "make sense" for K visa situations.

I learned the hard way, I hope YOU don't have to. Advice: learn, learn, learn.
