Hello

NVC just told us today the Embassy will be in touch (London, UK) for CR1 interview.

Now whith the whole mess going on, I expect its going to take a while until I get an interview ( they are rescheduling interviews now) . Plus the whole issues around getting flights from UK and Europe, I would not want an interview soon anyway.

However I want to know what the limitations are. Are there any deadlines I have to be aware of?

Like does the initial aplication expire?

Do I have to get an interview within X timeframe?

I think I read in another post the visa lasts 6 months since medical.

If there are any deadlines that expire, where do I start, at the aplication again, at NVC or at the embassy arrangements?

Thanks a lot and stay safe.

The US Embassy London has some information posted https://uk.usembassy.gov/information-for-nonimmigrant-visa-applicants-following-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak/

To clarify the last answer....   It sounds like they are through NVC and NVC is saying the Consular Immigrant Visa Unit will contact them.  That means two things.  1.  NVC is finished, so no need to contact them at all...and...  2.  The London Immigrant Visa Unit is scheduling their own interviews for now.

If the OP is not DQ at NVC, then I'm wrong.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

If your application is being processed by the Embassy in London, applicants are given 12 months from the date on which the Embassy’s Immigrant Visa Unit writes to them with instructions about the status of their case in which to apply for the visa.
