We had the interview at Bogota's embassy in Colombia. We had the visa K1 interview on January 14th, 2020. We were only missing the I-864 and I-864A since we had filed the wrong form, I-134 or at least that's what the counsulate told us. He said that we just needed to send those forms to the embassy's email and that my fiance's visa would be 'most likely' approved. We sent the forms we were missing on January 17th, 2020, but to this date, April 27th, 2020, we still have no answer or update on our case. I've called the embassy 2 or 3 times and they have told me that I have no updates on our case and that if anything the embassy will send me an email. It's almost going to be 4 months and we still get no answer, is it normal that they take so long ? Also on the CEAC page where you check the status of our case, it says they are ready for the interview but when I called to ask about it since they havent sent me an email, they told me again there were no updates. Honestly I know we have to be patient but this is really confusing and dont know if we missed something else. Is it normal that it is taking this long for the embassy to give any update?

Thanks for the help!

Is embassy really open right now? If not then why are you expecting any response during this global crisis.

I realize that but when I called they told me they are still working but on a slower rate, and since the EO doesn't seem to affect K1 visa I figured it wouldnt affect our case or I might be wrong.

In that case your best bet is to wait. Nothing you can really do at this point.

The EOmay not affect you, but the embassy are not scheduling any interviews, maybe just need to wait until things start opening back up

Hi! My fiancé and I are getting our documents ready as were already at the embassy stage. Reading your post I’m confused now as to what form I need to fill out, I-864?
I thought form I-134 was the correct one, I could be wrong.
so, both forms need to be taken to the interview?

This is only for AOS correct?

The I-134 is for the interview and the I-864 if used for AOS after marriage for a K-1. I have only heard of two different cases that received a 221(g) requiring the applicant complete and submit to the embassy a I-864.  So, if it is asked then you must complete and submit. I spoke with the embassy in Bogota last week and they said they were opening March 14th. Does anyone know if the embassy in Bogota is still on track to reopen May 14th (resuming interviews)? Gracias, hope everyone is safe and sound.
