Thank you for your tips! I really appreciate them. Luckily I didn’t have to try again talking to a human. Instead, USCIS sent me the extension of the extension letter, and a couple of days after, we received the 10-year green card. So seems like the interview was skipped (already had one years ago when we first filed the initial application, 465 I think it is). I hope everyone waiting here will get their new or updated cards soon if you haven’t already as processing times have been loooong but seems like they’re doing what they can on a tight schedule. Mine (my extension letter) was about to expire that same week but got a new card in time which is better cause traveling with the extension letter has been a bit of a hassle at airports (some officers over analyze it or aren’t aware of such extension letters but they see it’s clearly legit and it’s ok). Have faith everyone! 🙏

My N-400 interview has been scheduled for Dec 21st, but no update on my I-751.. ugh! Reading the posts here I’m staying optimistic and hoping I receive the 10-year card in the mail soon, before the N-400 interview.

I also contact the call center twice about this, and what worked for me was simply saying “schedule interview”, to which the machine asked if it was for biometrics, infopass, or “your interview”, to which I answered “interview”. The first time I called it put me on a 3 minute hold, and the second time I got immediately connected without a hold (!!). Sadly, both times the people were not helpful, and wouldn’t put in a service request for a Tier 2… ugh!

You might be having 2 in 1 interview, prepare for both. Good luck

That's what I'm hoping for. My wife is coming to my N-400 interview regardless (and wait in the car). If need be she can always be called in quickly.

I did get the 24-month extension letter for my green card (instead of the original 18 month letter)... it's something I guess! This didn't show up on my USCIS account though.

I had my N-400 interview today in the Fairfax, VA ("Washington D.C.") office, and took my wife with me. Upon entry you first go through a security checkpoint where they do not ask why you are there, so my wife and I just walked in. After that someone saw my binder with all information we have previously submitted, and asked "Interview?", and pointed us towards the elevator to the second floor. At the registration counter I showed my N-400 interview invitation and told the attendant that my I-751 is also still pending, so I brought my wife, and she replied "It's possible he will make it a combination interview then.". After only a few minutes the officer came to get me and my wife, and I explained that I brought my wife in case he would like to also go over the I-751 stuff, and he says "that would make sense, especially since she is here already and then we can take care of all that in one go". We first did the N-400 interview itself, going over the form, adjusting small things (our address was updated based on automated USPS system feedback), going through all the yes/no questions, and he asked me 6 questions which I all answered correctly (he asked me "Who is the father of our nation", "name one of the branches of government", "what happened at the constitutional convention", "what date are taxes due", and two others I forget..). I had to read a sentence (Who is Abraham Lincoln), and write "Lincoln was the president during the civil war". We then went on to the I-751 part, he asked some basic questions to my wife such as "how did you meet, how did you start dating, did he propose to you, why did you get married?", and then he asked me "when did you get married, why were you the one proposing". He asked if I wanted to add any other evidence, and I told him I had some additional pictures (13 printed on two letter pages), and he would add those to our file. He said we were approved for both I-751 and N-400, and that I'd receive a notice for the Oath of Allegiance ceremony very soon! I can't wait, finally done with all this bureaucratic red tape!

I got my 24month extension letter in the mail 2 weeks ago. Other than that absolutely no update since they let me know that my case was getting transferred to another office.

I believe a lot of cases are being transferred

Same situation here, early Dec received 24 month extension and then the transfer notice to NBC. No other updates. I did file N-400 Sept '21 and it currently shows a wait time of 10 months (but that is based on 5 years of marriage).
