Does the petitioner or the beneficiary gets the notification from NVC when the case is sent to the embassy?

Every correspondence up to the case file being sent to the embassy is sent to the petitioner. Anything from the embassy is sent to the beneficiary.

I’m not sure why it didn’t take, but I did reply to this yesterday. I see @Greenbaumhas replied as well.

Have a look at the first post in this thread with the PDF of tips and tricks.... one of the first thing is how to update your email address with the NVC this way they have both on file. It’s myself and my petitioner received the same email notification when my petition was shipped out. 😊

How did you get your interview expedited?

I contacted the consulate with our specific situation and requested it. They were kind enough to accept it and have the paperwork forwarded from the NVC to Sydney. Sydney is still only scheduling expedited cases still.... seems that they are mostly CR/IR and K visas.... but they also seem to be still issuing a number of E3 visas too. They are doing very limited appointments.

May I ask in a roundabout way what was your reason for expediting the visa?

Congratulations. Be sure to check your visa for a spelling mistakes and if you find any contact the embassy immediately for correction. Next, pack the "do not open" envelope that you will receive in your carryon luggage. You do not want this packet to get lost or you will not be able to enter the US. Be safe and I'm wishing you a very happy life together.

Probably should have done all that before the night before my flight huh? 🤪

Nah, All good.  Only thing I had was the envelope with the packet in it was ripped on one end.  I took photos as soon as I opened the courier satchel and emailed the consulate immediately.  Informed them I'm flying Monday 31st and that I could come in if they needed to rectify up until Friday.  Didn't hear back from them, so I assume it will all be OK.  It's already in my carry on luggage along with my xray CD that I was told to carry.  Plus my originals with me too.

Travelling tomorrow.  Can't wait!!!

The tear you see is normal. It's intentionally there for easy access for CPB at the immigration desk of your POE. Xray disc is a coffee coaster now as it is not needed for anything or anyone. Its use can only be to refer to if you develop any problems in the future and your doctor may want to see it. My wife has been in the US for over seven years and has never been asked nor has she used it for anything. But good luck the same.

My i130 (cr2) expedited request got approved. My daughter finished her medical but needs to come back for a vaccine once her colds are gone. Does anyone know how long it take for embassy to provide the interview date after the medical is completed?

Thank you.

Well here is the problem. You're asking those who are applying for a K-1 and you are asking "newbies" a question about the CR2. May I suggest you post your question in the proper thread here: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/134-ir-1-cr-1-spouse-visa-case-filing-and-progress-reports/

You're apt to get a better answer.

Hi @Greenbaum, do you happen to have the P3 for Belarus (Warsaw)?

We have a "ready" condition via CEAC. Thanks!

I don't have a copy of the P3 for Belarus/Warsaw as those that I have shared these links with have not replied as of yet with an updated copy.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html#1

Here is what I have been able to piece together.

Once the Embassy receives the petition, we will send a letter to advise the applicant about their eligibility to schedule the appointment for the formal visa interview. This letter will also contain information regarding:

  • medical examination
  • required documents, police certificate included (in addition to supplying a police certificate from the present place of residence, the applicant must also present police certificates from any place or places of residence for 6 months or more since attaining the age of 16)
  • required K visa fee to be paid before scheduling the interview through the online payment or personally at a bank in Poland. Please check your payment options.
  • selection of the visa pick-up location

The appointment should be scheduled online at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/pl/

In order to schedule your interview online you should follow the steps below:

  • Register online at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/
  • Pay your K visa fee using one of the following options: online payment with a debit card/PolCard, online banking transfer (applicant’s own bank) or cash at Bank (applicant’s own bank), cash at any location featuring the “Moje Rachunki” logo. Please check your visa fee payment options.
  • Complete online form DS-160 Nonimmigrant Visa Application and print out the confirmation page.
  • Schedule a K visa interview appointment at the Embassy online at www.ustraveldocs.com/pl. You can do it immediately after you pay the visa fee online, or the day after the payment is done in person at “Moje Rachunki”. You will need the receipt number printed on your receipt.
  • Choose your visa pick-up location. You can choose either Premium Delivery (for additional 24 PLN paid directly to TNT on delivery to your home address in Poland) or you can select a TNT pick-up location before you come for your interview. This service is free of charge. Details on passport delivery are available at http://ustraveldocs.com/pl/pl-niv-passporttrack.asp . For non-residents (for example Belarusian citizens) the designated visa pick-up location is the TNT office in Warsaw, 19 Annopol Street.
  • Print your appointment confirmation letter and bring it with you to the Embassy.

In order to improve visa processing, all the documents provided by the applicants should be prepared and assembled as described below. Please put the documents in the following sequence before the interview.

Passport

The passport should be valid for at least sixty days beyond the validity date of the visa. Please remove any plastic sleeves/coverings from the passport.

Important: Each applicant should bring his/her previous passport(s) with US visas, otherwise your visa may be refused until the consular officer can review them.

UID Number

Please print out and bring to the Embassy the confirmation page of your GSS registration and passport TNT pick-up location choice. The confirmation page must contain the barcode and your UID number.

Photograph

Each applicant must submit two photos which meets all the requirements listed here.

Fiancé(e) Visa Application Form

The online DS-160 fiancé(e) visa application should be completed in English using the website:

https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

Birth Certificate

For applicants born in Poland only complete versions of Polish birth certificates (Odpis zupełny aktu urodzenia) are accepted. Polish “short form” of birth certificate is not acceptable.

Evidence of the Termination of Prior Marriages (if applicable)

Any applicant who has been previously married must obtain evidence of the termination of each prior marriage such as final divorce decree, death certificate or annulment.

Police Certificate

Police certificates are required from every applicant aged 16 or over on the date of the interview. If the applicant has been convicted of any crime in any country, a copy of the court record of each conviction is required. For further information on how to obtain police certificate click here.

Military Records

All applicants with current or prior military service must provide military records. Military records must contain a complete record of the applicant’s service and conduct while in the service. The record must show any convictions of crime before military tribunals.

Medical Examinations

All applicants should submit the results of medical examination in the original unopened envelope. The examination will be conducted by a medical doctor designated by the Embassy. The applicant is responsible for all medical examination fees. The medical examination cannot be performed by the applicant’s own physician. For detailed information on the location of the medical centers and scheduling the medical appointment please click this link.

Financial Documents

The Affidavit of Support form I-864 is not required for K visas. However, petitioners must provide proof of adequate financial support once in the United States to ensure the applicant will not become public charges. Documentation regarding financial support can be in any form so long as it contains enough detail and information for the consular officer to conclude that the beneficiary will not become a public charge. Petitioners may submit the form I-134 if they wish.

Translations

Documents in Polish, except for court records, do not have to be translated. All documents that are not written in English or Polish must be translated into English by a certified translator.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.
