Your reply to me was a splendid example of when to use the "@" so you don't send a great BIG and LONG reply from someone. I just keeps everything neater.

Next you need to complete your profile.

@Greenbaum will get that done today. Thnx

Beneficiary will complete the DS-5540 Public Charge Questionnaire. Some of the questions will seem weird but just the same put down your best answer. This is not a pass or fail document.

Ok thank you

Hi! We received our NOA2 on March 24th and we're still waiting for our "welcome letter" from the NVC on how to proceed. I've read up on the forum and emailed the NVC to update our email addresses and also requested our case number. Am I missing anything? Is there anything else I can do or are we just stuck until we hear something back? It's been close to two months so it's a bit concerning. Thanks!

Time to just wait till embassies start opening. The first place you will hear anything is from your embassy's website. Good luck and stay engaged.

Is the ds-5540 form to be completed by the petitioner our beneficiary? Not sure why it would ask the petitioner if they’ve been to the US before so that’s why I’m asking.

I watched a video on YouTube by an immigration lawyer who said ds-5540 isn’t compulsory. That one has to be sure if the embassy in the country where the beneficiary is having the interview requires it. How true is it?

The embassy does decide if they will require the DS-5540 Public Charge Questionnaire but at this time most are taking them so it's "buyer beware" so have it ready or expect a 221(g) and add a 2-3 week delay on the visa issuance.

You should call NVC for your case number at (603) 334-0700 Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 12:00 midnight EST.

I’ll have it with me at the interview to be on the safe side. I don’t want no holdups at all.

I thought the phone line has been suspended and they're not taking calls? At least that's what their website says.

There are two phone lines that you can call in on, one is non-immigrant and the other is immigrant. This information can be found in the PDF from the first page first post of this thread. I will quote:

1-603-334-0700 For Immigrant Visa Service or 1- 603-334-0888 For Non-Immigrant Visa Service. Either phone number will get you an Operator. You can use either. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight (Eastern Time).
