@renkri2020 CONGRATS!!!!!

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Interestingly when we received the NOA2 it was dated the day before (April 30th).  The NOA2 was received physically in the mail 1 business day after the approval notification happened.  Which I thought was very interesting.

Also noteworthy is that the A number for myself which was supplied on the original Petition has been superseded it seems on the NOA2.  My fiancee also has an A number as she was naturalised 16 years ago...and I had an A number from my previous Visas (E3D) from my time there too.  Have got my old EAD cards and the A number shows on them as well as others... but this number seems to have increased for me on the NOA2.  I assume they had to 're-register' me?  I don't know.  I suppose I use the new one from now on...  it was previously A-137 *** *** (issued in 2013) it's now A-216 *** ***.  I have been wondering if it's going to be worth me holding onto my old EAD and Driver's Licenses for any kind of identification purposes... but I guess as they are expired they are no longer able to be used in any official capacity... I know they 'accepted' my expired DL while I was visiting to buy alcohol and those sorts of things, however I need my Australian Passport for any travel of course.

I wonder, also, with the Australian Consulate in Sydney being still somewhat operational (emergency interviews only), if the 'normal' timeframe for the paperwork to arrive to the NVC and the onto the Consulate is... I'm resigning myself to the fact that it's not going to be and anything else is a bonus... but with the speed that the original application was approved I am quietly hopeful.  I do firmly believe that the application was approved so 'quickly' for a 'normal' petition due to how well presented (humble brag) that I made the packet and that it was all uniform and clean and easy to find items and all the pages were the same size, etc.  Also that I have 4.5 years of history in the country as a Temporary resident alien...so have SSN, A Number, previous tax history, land ownership, DL, etc... I suspect it was easier for them to background check me with all that - all previous visas had been approved without any issue, and have 'cancelled without prejudice' stamped on them which is why we supplied my entire passport photocopied along with my fiancee's compete passport copy too.  The only drawback of the speedy 'approval' is that if the travel ban is not lifted by the Australian Government the likelihood of my family being able to travel for the wedding that must happen fairly quickly after my arrival is very very low.

Anyway... enough random thoughts for today!!

Mine was organized as you described as well but mine was approved only after 189 days. Congrats on the speedy approval. I think the more history you have with USCIS, the slower the approval is. Mine is 14 years living in this country. For now, let's hope this COVID situation is sorted in few months and we can all be with the people we love pretty soon.
