Eh, that works both ways, it's extremely frustrating to see conservatives jump on this after the multiple allegations against Trump and Kavanaugh were and still are being dismissed.

I wish the media would treat it both ways.

The majority of news outlets are at this point.

No where near what it was like for Kavanaugh, or even Trump.  Personally, I don’t think there is anything to any of the allegations against Biden, Kavanaugh, or Trump, but there definitely is a noticeable difference in the hypocritical way the media has covered it.  Heck, the media asked Trump about the BIden allegation before they even thought to ask Biden himself.  All men denied the allegation, but the media only believes Biden’s denial out of hand.

Lost at "at this point".

It took them a while, but they got there, the fact that they're covering it now, is kind of what matters.

I must admit that I don't watch a lot of Fox, but how long did it take them to take the accusations against Trump seriously? Or the Kavanaugh one?
Oh, they still haven't and never will? They smeared and are continuing to smear the victims every chance they get? Cool. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.

Oh, they were absolutely wrong. I'm glad that there were a few sources (The Intercept and a few others) that kept bringing it up to the point where the others felt the pressure that they had to. Some of them did come out later, with pieces they were clearly working on for quite some time. The NYT actually had a piece on why they didn't report it right away. It sucks that they didn't, but I can also see why they decided to report on it the way they did. (https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/13/business/media/joe-biden-tara-reade-new-york-times.html).

And the media did ask Biden before Trump, they just never got an answer from him before. It was always the campaign that kept commenting.

I don't watch TV, in the last year I've streamed a few primetime shows like Tucker, Hannity (when I can tolerate his annoying voice), Ingraham, etc., but I have no interest in television and haven't over the last two decades.

It's quite complex, but I'll try and simplify for you:

Virtually no one believed Ford. It was all PR. Everyone knows how ridiculous the accusations were, how Ford was a Democrat activist, how the DNC partnered with her to let her use their lawyers, coaching her on the act, zero evidence, the usual timing, and so on. But the media, politicians, and so on, all catered to the sympathetic angle on Ford because of the irrationality of public perception. It would've looked bad to be honest and say she's full of ****, when she clearly was. They even went along with the next several women, until their "stories" imploded and a few admitted they lied.

It's not to say I like Kavanaugh, I know he's a neocon who worked for GWB. Those neocon connections are actually what saved the nomination.. rest assured, Jeff Flake and several others would've been happy to deep six a Trump nomination if it weren't for him nominating someone with personal connections with Flake and co. I wish Trump would've picked someone better, but it was Trump's brilliant idea to let the FS pick his candidates in the first place. Regardless, these are arguments based on his merits of employment, not me trying to destroy him by fabricating crimes.

About when FOX decided to air anything, they did so right away, and immediately were rather critical of it, until public perception turned on the idea, then they aired more sympathetic tones. The entire charade was just nauseating. That this lady even went so far as to get a hearing is a slap in the face to actual victims of crimes. It's quite amazing what deranged people will do to try and get their way.

Referring back to my earlier discussion of Chris Hayes with cyberfx, Alex and I had this exchange this morning (more or less):

L: Come back in the bedroom and sit with me while I make the bed and listen to last night's Chris Hayes with me.

A: Why would I want to watch you make a bed I'm only going to unmake again shortly?

L: I want the company. Take your tea, won't take me long.

A (shuffling in the room behind me) My tea is cold. Can't you make me a fresh cup?

L: No. Just be with me. Here, let me put the audio podcast of the show on. (Fiddles with podcast app.) Last night's episode isn't up yet.

A: Here, I can be Chris Hayes, go make the bed. (In terrible American accent) Good evening, I'm Chris Hayes, and I'm a terrible liberal because I am slightly to the center of Bernie Sanders, and I once thought John Kerry might not be the best leader for America.

L: AL! (continues to make bed)

A: Tonight, we're doing an in depth investigation into what is wrong with America. I've spoken to some very important doctors, and they agree: the illness is Trump, and the illness must be eradicated. Here's a doctor from Stanford University. Doctor? Is it or is it not true that Donald Trump is at the heart of everything wrong today, and that he once kicked a little girl's puppy to make her cry? (In high voice) Oh yes, Donald Trump's well-known hatred of dogs stems from puppy-kicking, and he should be put down, just like they had to put down that puppy. (Back in Chris Hayes voice, which is really horrible) Thank you, Doctor, for that hard-hitting analysis, which is what liberals come here to hear.
L: (stifled giggle)
A (continuing): Now we go to Professor Lefty McLeftface of the Yale School of Economics, who is sheltering from COVID19 in an underground bunker with a pot of lentils and a poster of Che Guevara. Professor McLeftface, what do you think of the current political situation? How can we fix this country's ills? (in an even higher voice than the doctor) Heads must roll, Chris. The only solution to our grand political nightmare is the guillotine. I only regret that social distancing will prevent the sort of crowds who would want to see the heads of King Con and his lackeys tumble from their necks. No catafalques for traitors!  (back to Chris Hayes) Well, you cannot argue with that. Impressive use of the word "catafalque" as well, Professor. (sips from cold tea, voice back to normal) See? You didn't need the podcast. That was a perfectly accurate recreation in my opinion.

He wasn't wrong, it kind of was accurate.

The leftists are the ones who are also rightfully attacking Biden for this, but okay. You might want to look into the difference between centrist/liberals and actual leftists.

Again, those aren't leftist media. TYT is probably the closest you're going to get to a mainstream "leftist" media source.
