Hi all,

I wanted to start a topic about those of us who have been transferred to the California service centre.

I was originally assigned to Texas, with my husband filing on November 27th 2019. Case was transferred to California on Feb 23rd 2020 (I think quite a few were?) One more update on March 31st and nothing since.

Hopefully we can all share our cases to get a better idea of timelines!

Hi,

Our case was also transferred to California Service Center on  Feb 23rd 2020 from Texas Service Center. My PD date is 2/04/2020 still waiting hopefully we will all get our approvals this month.

Hi there.

Our application was also forwarded from Texas to California. We received our NOA1 on Feb. 7th. We haven't heard anything since then, but yesterday we called and spoke with an agent and discovered that they transferred our case to California for some reason. The agent did not know why. She escalated our call to a next tier agent who will hopefully call us in the next few days. This was rather disturbing to hear and I am wondering if anyone might have a similar experience and might know the reasons for why our case was transferred?

As I understand, California does not handle I-130s for spouses of U.S. citizens, which is what our case is. Any help / info on this is greatly appreciated.

They are now processing i-130s for us citizens in california, a lot of us were transfered there. You should't worry about it. They are approving january-february 2020 petitions, so be patient, you will be approved soon as well.

Workloads get shifted to where there is capacity. CSC already does I130/I130a processing for LPRs.  There are a ton of people at Nebraska that have waited longer.

Did you end up getting a call from the agent? I am in the same boat but i have not spoken to a tier 2. I would love to know what happened

I love how most people with i130's in CSC have had their cases adjudicated except people from the usual suspect countries. And would you look at that, the processing time for CSC for CR1/IR1 went from ~6 months  to 12-16 months on their official site and increasing.  :) fun times

Hey,  I just finished talking with a Live Chat via Emma (where i discovered Firefox does not show Ask Emma, but Safari does).

Just found out my 8/30/2021 online i-130 filer, which was in Texas per NOA1,  is actually now in California 😡

Unclear were it was when it changed to Actively reviewing on 9/24/21.
