Hi all, I have a flight booked from Heathrow to Orlando with layover in JFK. Judging by this thread, do I need to book a flight to somewhere outside Schengen area then fly into USA? I’m so stressed out as my flight is on 4th August.

Yes, you need to do that

a question for anyone who has gone through Serbia or Croatia as their third country..... do they stamp your passport upon entry coming from the UK or Ireland?

if they dont, and you just book an Airbnb for 14 days and print the confirmation, would that be enough proof for immigration to secure entry in the US?

Why AirBnB, you have to pay for the booking, and then the hassle in trying to get your money back, why not a Hotel that does not require immediate payment?

They stamped my passport at the airport in Belgrade (I flew there from Germany), so I assume it’s the same for someone coming from the UK or Ireland.

My fiance and I met in Cancun, MX on July 20th.  We've been here a couple weeks and have been enjoying it.  We plan to head into the US in 2 weeks and will let you know how it goes.  He doesn't have a visa, just coming in as a tourist on ESTA. Don't see why there would be any issue, though.  He flew from Scotland -> Spain -> Cancun.

I'm in! I had the passport check in Dallas, got asked a bunch of questions, as I was entering with the ESTA, but as I was with my fiancée it was kinda easy. I got asked my reason for traveling, how long I am gonna stay, where did I came from and how long I stayed in Mexico, what do I do for a living and where, and then a bunch of small questions related to that. After that we were free to go and I was able to travel to St. Louis withot problems and here I am! So I'm glad to say that it is safe to enter with the ESTA to visit during this times as long as you stay away the 14 days from the banned countries.

I wish everyone else trying this the best of luck, I'm rooting for all of you!

How long did you tell them you're staying for?  I'd like him to stay for either the time he gets an interview or the full 90 days, though not sure if they will like to hear staying up to 90 days.

It is 90 days or nothing.

I meant perhaps staying the full 90 days is too long to mention.

How long is his ticket booked for? Is it booked for the entire 90 days or a shorter period of time?
