That form isn't needed for visitors. That being said, it's a good idea in general to look into travel medical insurance.

I thought that was exactly who it was for. Oh well, I may still fill it out. But I do agree with your second point for sure. Thanks!

The Department of State also continues to grant National Interest Exceptions for qualified travelers seeking to enter the United States for purposes related to humanitarian travel, public health response, and national security.

So people who are stuck in Shengen can write requesting for exemption from travel ban.

I assume you are referring to one of the following 2 forms:

https://eforms.state.gov/Forms/ds5540.PDF

https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-944-pc.pdf

Correct?

The first one is for the Immigrant Visa and K-1 visa interviews at the embassy. The second one is for Adjustment of Status inside the US. Neither form is appropriate for genuine visitors.

The first one, yes. Thanks for the info!

I know many have come over on an ESTA. Can you tell me where you flew into, and any additional documents you needed and any questions? Thank you all for your help.

Hi guys! Anyone succesfully arrived to the US from the Schengen area as a spouse of US citizen?

What kind of documents I have to take with me to make sure that they will let me in? I was thinking about the marriage certificate, a copy of my husband’s birth certificate and passport, maybe some wedding photos too?

Any information is very appreciated! ❤️

If you have ESTA then CBP can revoke ESTAs at any time. CBP doesn't know the potential exempt status of travelers when they revoke the ESTAs, since the revocation is done before the traveler can appear at a POE. An example: "it caused CBP to flag my ESTA and revoke it 10 hours before my flight!!"

A potential workaround to avoid revocation in the first place is to transit through Belgrade, Istanbul, etc. (E.g a direct flight from Belgrade to JFK). Per FayeAlexandra's experience one can conclude that the (wrongful) revocation was based on where the flight was coming from, not nationality.

If you carry that and the airport/airline employees still give you issues ask them to check with their CBP contact (IAP, etc.). You can also tell them to check IATA's Timatic: https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/international-travel-document-news/1580226297.htm An alternative is to go to Dublin or Shannon, Ireland where CBP officers are there for preclearance. https://www.cbp.gov/border-security/ports-entry/operations/preclearance
