So if I were to fly on a Tuesday, and I would arrive in Mexico on a Wednesday night, do I need to count that Wednesday or not?

Excluding if you’ve been in a Schengen country on Wednesday, including if you have not. That Wednesday cannot be any other banned country.

We will fly in June 4th, Thursday. I do not count that day. I counted 14 full days starting Friday, June 5th. My 14 days would end Thursday, June 18th. We fly out Friday, June 19th. That is how I counted my days.

Same here! Flying June 8 (excluded that day) and counted 14 full days starting June 9 to then fly out on June 23.

When do you guys arrive in Mexico?

I will be arriving on the very same day (June 8 around 8PM local time ) due to the six-hour time difference between France and Mexico City!

So another visa group online are discussing those wanting to ‘circumvent’ the system by quarantining elsewhere for 14 days.   Apparently someone called USCIS and the general feedback was although it’s not illegal, it will cause ‘red flags’ for K1 holders when they go to do AOS so not to ‘risk’ it. What is everyone’s opinion on this? The way I see it I’m proving that I don’t have the virus by going elsewhere, I don’t see how that’s relevant to AOS at all?

That 1-800 USCIS line is called the misinformation line for a reason. Some examples of the many instances of misinformation from that line:

One has never had to enter had to enter from the country from where the visa is issued. All countries do not have US consulates.  Cuba doesn't, a few African nations don't. One does not need to get the visa from where you are a national.   You just need residency, that is what we did.  Get a connecting flight coming in and you're not entering from where the visa is issued.

Entering from another country after waiting 14 days does not mean that you don't have COVID19.  It means you probably didn't have it when you entered that country.  You can always be exposed to it on day 13, enter the US later and be asymptomatic.

Before the visa expires you can travel to almost any other country, except probably north Korea ;) , and it won't cause an issue come AOS time.  My wife got asked at her visa interview, global entry interview and when entering other countries "I see you have been to Nepal" ;)

The best way to have a problem at AOS is not to get married in time or not have sufficient finances.

Hi there! :)

Could I fly to LA and self-quarantine myself inside the airport (or airport's hotels) ? I know it sounds silly but Air France confirms me that there are flights to LA from Paris. And since UK is now telling they accept foreigners if they self quarantine themselves for 14 days do you guys think there is hope the US does that?

Don't take that flight if you have a K-1; CBP will deny you entry at LAX. Those flights are for IR-1/CR-1 holders, Green Card holders, US citizens, US nationals, etc. I.e. those not subject to the Schengen Area proclamation.

If you have a CR1 or IR1 visa you will be allowed to enter.

Nope. They don't even let you board the flight if you're not exempted from the ban
