I MADE IT!!! POE was a breeze!!! Absolutely no problems traveling from Mexico into the US with a K1 visa!! Wow I’m so relieved right now it’s insane. What an adventure! I really hope all of you can make it into the US too!! I would definitely recommend traveling to Mexico! My POE was Charlotte btw, nearly empty. It was super fast :)

Congrats Ela, you inspire us... did they ask where have you been last month or something like that?

No! they just asked me if I lived in Mexico and I said no, that I was only visiting family friends.

Wanted to share this article, might be interesting as an option as well: https://www.timeout.com/usa/news/st-lucia-aruba-and-antigua-will-reopen-to-tourists-in-june-052120

We will contact St Lucia government and ask if everyone will be allowed to enter, also need to check flights from St Lucia to the US

Yes but it might open up to others as well sometime after, we will contact them and see what the plan is. Also Aruba did not say US only and maybe this would be an option too. just wanted to share

It says that the next phase to open up to other countries isn't until August tho... I just think it's wishful thinking tbh. Mexico seems to be the only option as of now

That sucks. What visas do you have? Yeah we also think that Mexico is the only country for now. But it seems so risky because of COVID. Croatia would work too but not sure when flights with Turkish Airlines would operate again.

Well Aruba might open up 15 th June, I am trying to stay positive, although it is hard, after being stuck here for almost 3 months...

Yes I would also much rather fly to Croatia. If only Turkish airlines would resume flights to the US!

I checked and it seems they offer flights from June 10th again, but who knows if they suspend again 😕 seems risky too. Also we called turkish yesterday to make sure we could board and transit in Instanbul, they said yes, as long as we haven’t been to Germany during the last 14 days. But not sure, the information on their website are kind of misleading

Hi everyone! I'm very late to the party but just like most of you I'm waiting for the European travel ban to be lifted and in the meantime considering traveling to Cancún. As a girl alone I don't feel very safe doing that, so if there is anyone considering going to Cancún on the 18th of June and wanting to travel together, please let me know!

There was a government announcement about it last week, some places with less infections were allowed to start already this past Monday. Hotel websites allow bookings from June 1, so does Airbnb and basically everyone I contacted about accommodation has told me no only from June 1.

But today, here they’re telling us places will start opening tomorrow, next week and from June. There’s allegedly quite a number of Americans quarantining from the virus in US.
I personally think they’ve seen what a toll this has taken on the US economy and want to avoid the same route. You see a lot of places closed, restrictions in place, protective equipment and disinfection everywhere, but especially in the tourist dependent areas, I’m being told they can’t afford to keep it shut down for too long,m since the staff needs to work to buy food etc. If the tourists will be able to come back is another question.

Thank you SO much for the reassurance, I really appreciate it. Good luck for the rest of your journey!
