From an article posted today:  Ukraine plans to restore air service simultaneously with the European countries from June 15.

However, the opening of flights is possible only in the case of a stable situation with coronavirus, and not in conditions of deterioration.

So the plan is to open up international travel if Covid-19 conditions stabilizes.

I heard from my fiance that I could be let in UA because I have a legal son there in UA. I will try to go to UA in June.

We are trying to re-book for June 15.  It could open up to all foreigners by then.  Only time will tell.

OP, we were able to rebook for June 15, but received a email today from LOT airlines that the flight was cancelled again due to COVID-19.  Supposedly, International flights MAY open up as of June 19.  But since this is our 3rd flight cancellation, we are going to wait a few more weeks and try for a July flight.

Just an update regarding the mandatory quarantine:   There is an option now to use an App and then voluntarily self isolate at a private residence.  The App will track your location and prompt you to take a selfie within a short time period at your self isolation location, as a random spot check.  I believe the App is called Diy Vdoma.

The Ukrainian government has lifted the entry ban for foreigners. U.S. citizens will be allowed to enter Ukraine if they can demonstrate that they have medical insurance covering all expenses related to COVID-19 treatment while on the territory of Ukraine. U.S. citizens entering Ukraine will be required to enter into self-quarantine if the Ministry of Health considers the United States a country with high incidence of COVID-19. That determination will be reviewed and communicated to Border Police every three days. Accordingly, U.S. citizens traveling to Ukraine should be prepared to self-isolate if advised to do so upon arrival.

So now you can go into Ukraine if you can get a flight.

This is good news, but there is a lot of gray area. Does the Ministry of Health consider the US High incidence right now? Should you plan on self isolation now? How long would you isolate? 2 weeks? I'm not asking you specifically, just thinking out loud.

I'd hate to plan a short trip and find out that I had to self isolate for two weeks once I get there.

I have the same questions.  Fortunately, our trips there are typically 1-3 months.  And as usual in Ukraine, what the government says is as clear as mud.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
