do you think is possible to get on those repatration flights that embasys are doing even if i am not citizen or resident just inmigrant visa holder ? or i have to ask first the consulate if they allowed to me to travel ?

I know residents are able to go on them, idk about immigrant visas but they should be the same although the priority is for US citizens.

Someone isnt a resident until their IV is endorsed by CBP. Without that, you are just as much a resident as someone without a visa

Yes here in Guyana once u have a immigrant Visa u allow to go on the flights.... I'm waiting for the next one....

Are you sure?  What is your source for saying this?

It is highly unlikely to be true if it is a US-sponsored evacuation flight, as there is no method to pay for a ticket upfront on that kind of flight.  If some other source is sponsoring the flight (for example, another country's government), they may permit ticket sales to another country's citizens.  If it's a flight sponsored by another country, it will not be going directly to the US and you may or may not be able to easily get onward travel to the US scheduled.

(BTW, I checked and the only repatriation flight mentioned on US Embassy Guyana's website is one yesterday organized by the Canadian High Commission to Toronto.)

A friend of mine had called the embassy in March about the repatriation flight to the us, and the embassy told her to sign up to be on the flight. They contacted her earlier this week and asked if she was still interested because they have flight coming  up soon. She has an issued Cr1 visa expiring in June.

Hey Folks

So my F4 immigrant visa expires on the 18th of June and my medicals earlier than that. First question I have is: Do I have to go before my medicals expire or before the visa expires?

Second, I talked to the embassy before the trump ban and they told me they'll reissue visas after embassies open due to the airport being closed in Lebanon. But Middle East Airlines are offering limited flights to Paris and London (They are repatriating Lebanese Citizens from there, but you can go on departure if you want. Plus you get a free return ticket for when you want to come back) for $1200 dollars which you can connect to the US with a separate ticket.
I'll consider going on one of these flights if they will not re-issue visas afterwards, but if they will, I might as well just wait. So do y'all know if embassies will re-issue F4 immigrant visas immediately after the ban? I sent them a mail right after the order was signed but I received the same auto-reply about considering re-issuance of visas I did earlier.

I could ask the embassy but only American Citizen Services are available right now which I don't qualify for calling as im not a citizen( It's saturday) and I need to book the flight quick.

If I were you, I would get here immediately

... You already figured out a way to go about it yourself.

Speak the truth even if your voice shakes

Thanks for the info!  Since that was really unusual, I had to check it out.  It appears that flight was a charter flight that was not sponsored (i.e., paid for) by the US government.  The Embassy apparently supplied information about the flight, but people then contacted an outside source to purchase tickets.  With that kind of flight, I'm sure IV-holders would be allowed on them if there is space.

As others have said, best thing to do is check with the Embassy, starting with the website, to see what might be available and whether you can take advantage of it.  Situations seem to be changing every day.

The embassy don't sponsored the flight..they organized it and u will have to book ur ticket online, direct or through a agent...we had about 3 flight here already but I don't go cause I already book with another airline and waiting for the airport here to open but my Visa would expired soon so wouldn't wait again if we have a next flight....

You have a valid visa. It has an expiration date on it. You are exempt from the EO at this time and can use the visa up until it expires. Do so.

If the visa expires, they can re-issue it under certain conditions, including a new medical, new visa fee, and it must be within the same fiscal year for which it was originally allocated (since this is a family preference visa).

In order for them to re-issue it, you must be determined admissible again. Under the EO, you would no longer be admissible with a new visa, so therefore you would be refused the visa until the EO expires.

tldr: Find a way to the US to make your life much simpler and not risk losing out on being able to immigrate anytime soon.

I really wanna do that 😕 But my mom said she won't send me in this condition. The airport is opening up in June 8 so I must be able to make a flight before expiration (June 18), but I'm horrified of the possibility that it might not open

I 100% understand. I wish I had specific details on how to actually get from where you are to the US under these circumstances, but that's a local issue and I simply don't know. I can only stress the importance of getting to the US before the visa expires.

Best wishes. And please update the thread with whatever happens. It may be helpful for others in similar circumstances.
