Delay due to one missing document

My husband and I paid all fees and submitted all documents requested on Feb 3. 2020. Our documents were reviewed on April 10th and we were told that I needed to submit my divorce decree which I did immediately. All other documents were accepted on April 10th. Since then I sent an expedite request which was denied because all embassies are closed. I have also called NVC and was told they cannot expedite document review and we have to wait until they get to April 10th before they can review a single document. I know that most embassies are closed due to the pandemic but if our paperwork is held back then we will be at the back of the line once the embassy reopens. Please, if there is anyone who has experienced a similar issue or know of a work around let us know. WThank you in advance for your support.

There is no workaround.  They will schedule you after things re-open

There's nothing to do but wait. All consulates have suspended routine visa operations worldwide (except for certain emergency conditions).

I there was some sort of way around the wait, everybody would be doing it.
