why not? it's not their problem and even if they did, they'd be blamed somehow for what's going on there. best to stay out of it.

A full-scale humanitarian disaster unfolding on their doorstep would become their problem.

They'd be blamed either way -- whether they intervene or not.

let them kill each other off. less threat to israel then.

I think the point is they wouldn't just kill each other off - but every other poor b*gger who just happens to be in the vicinity.

All-too accurate--especially for those that are trapped there (the Mufti recently told Palestinian commoners that it is a sin for them to migrate elsewhere for work or survival).

Plus, if any of the "civil-warring" parties decides to "invite" a third non-neutral party (almost a cent-percent in this case with Hamas' mentality, shown many times by "diversion attempts" of firing rockets into Israel)...

Where are the Hama cheerleaders?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

If they move against Fatah in the West Bank, its hard to see how Israel will be able to keep out of it seeing as they still have territory in the region under the Oslo Accords.

Ignorant comment.

The plight of the Palestinians is already a humanitarian disaster.

If America had spent a fraction of what it spends on its War of Terror, to help the Palestinians, perhaps the Middle East wouldn't have so many extremists.

Dumber, don't you think that attitudes like yours only gives birth to further extremism?

If I were you I'd think about getting a new profile ready - this one seems almost out of mileage.

I don't think the US throwing money at Palestine will resolve the issues there. If it were that easy someone would have done it already.

Why is helping the Palestinians America's responsibilty? You don't like America or it's people. And now you think that America should help? You're nutzo Wog!
