Lost in the mail?  Doubtful with a pre-addressed envelope. Do you think the mail service is that broken?

And even so it would be random for all voters and not selective to influence elections. Those letters are pilling up and the post office will eventually get it to the addressee or return to sender.

Widespread malfeasance inside election operations headquarters? Impossible given the audit operations states have. And why would one party be more or less corrupt?

Even so over 4 years? Every tax levy, every local improvement vote, , off year voting? 70% of those ballots had nothing to do with Presidential elections.

Here is the plausible and most likely factual explanation: they chose not to vote, just like the 40-70 %of non mailing ballots. Or they chose to go to the election poll instead.

Studies show higher participation with mail in voting. That is a positive social benefit.

And this is why they find boxes of absentee ballots in someone’s trunk.  Btw, I believe the study was just on the four general elections.  Overall, I am fine with mail in voting as long as vote harvesting is not allowed.

hmmm...How broken could the mail system be?....

hmmm...let's just ponder that for a moment.

1) Would you have any hesitation putting cash in an envelope - a significant amount of cash - placing a stamp on it, and dropping it in the mail? For like your mortgage, or rent, or kid's tuition?

2) Would USCIS feel comfortable letting you send in any and all documents by mail, no problems asked, for ANY and ALL of their services?

3) If USPS IS actually de-funded....would that not matter in the least?

4) Possibly millions of ballots not opened or counted each election?

5) Need a census? Mail me the form.  If it is not returned to you,  it must be because either I am dead or homeless with no forwarding MAIL address. No problem.

...hmmmm.....What could possibly go wrong with that...times 150 million people.

Why this for the profile pic?  Often in movies and on TV when they show Hawaii they show this beach/view. So, instead of doing Kauai or some other locale, we decided to do here, so that whenever some show shows Hawaii and this view, we will see where we were married.

For me....

Get yourself a reliable document of identification. A REAL ID.

Show up to vote.

Vote.

Triple check that everybody's vote is accurately recorded.

Tally every vote.

And you'll have your winner.

Simple.

I don't get the concern. Elections sends serialized ballots to the registered voter, at that address. If the ballot never reached the voter, if the voter doesn't return the ballot, or forgets to stamp the ballot, there is no vote tallied.

It's not like anything can be done with that ballot. It's not a blank check to vote in a future election, it is a piece of paper.

What is the worry?

So you're ok with your vote not being counted?  That seems very weird to me.

How did a ballot, sent to someone's residence, filled out, stamped and dropped in a mailbox wind up in a box with other ballots, in the back of someone's car? Where and when did this occur?

How does ANY voting fraud happen?

1.5 MILLION registration issues, down from the previous 3 million. Just in one state.

What does that have to do with mail in ballots?

Ask Al Franken.  The other way is through vote harvesting, but in those cases, it is questionable if the person voted of their own free will, or by direction of a political operative.
