Hello everyone,

I have not participated here very actively but have been a more or less silent benefactor of all discussions here. It was very calming to read the many success stories - the positive experiences gave us hope and the not so happy ones, made us feel a sense of solidarity and empathy with everyone else in similar situations of heightened uncertainties. Just wanted to share the happy news that our application for I-130 has been approved - 27 days after submission online. Our case went to the Potomac center. We are now onto the NVC/second stage. I hope everyone else gains hope from this news. Thank you all for reading and for having created/participatee in this virtual community!!

Congrats. All this recent 1-2 month approvals probably means their pilot program is either back or fully implemented going forward for new applications. Exciting for all the new applicants, not so much for us waiting in limbo. 😔

That’s fast. Maybe due to COVID-19, not too many people are getting married. Thus, application load might be less.

Get ready for all the documents for the NVC while you wait for them to receive your case.
