Who insane was this. What was he thinking.  Most nursing homes have no acute care or isolation capabilities

My sister works in a nursing home. They managed to turn one of their wings into a COVID wing, and they're using one of the cafeterias as a room for the patients with the worst symptoms.

It's doable, but it takes some serious reorganizing.

It's doable, but it takes some serious reorganizing.

This is the same for Mary.  She works as a caregiver.  Only one unit has COVID, which is probably where we both got it from.  No one really wants to work that unit. 72 hours after being cleared she has been working there 5  or 6 days a week, 6 to 9 shifts.  So far they have lost 5 clients and another 7 are positive.  It leads to some pretty emotional downtime.

 

The other 3 larger units have been able to remain negative. So it can be done.

    We used to have a drinking game every time a certain forum member started a post with "The left". It was fun for a while, but  we had to stop. You only get one liver.
