Hello guys,  I'm going over my AOS,  I have a huge problem,  I married my husband (a US citizen by birth) in 2017 , and yes I did overstay my b2 visa (I know it was wrong) anyway  we are now filling for my AOS  and with this new public charge form I'm having major panic attacks firstly,  I'm 45 years old, from the UK, I did not complete my high school education, I left in the last year of school due to a health reason ,and therefore did not graduate so my highest level of education is grade 11, once I recovered ,I went straight into working,  I have over 20+ years experience  in retail,  secretarial and bookkeeping , I didn't receive any skills certificates all I've learned,  I learned on the job,  also I am not a multi-millionaire and like most people I don't have huge savings. Our Co-sponsor has told my husband  and I she is prepared to sign an affidavit to say she will be responsible for anything including medical I need until I'm able to work .   Is my AOS going to be denied based on no high school education and no huge sums of money? Please advise I'm extremely  worried.

Hi Jade,

Don't worry too much about that, I think the most important thing is to be able to show that you won't be a public charge and receive public benefit from the US. I would be more worried if you did receive public benefits in the past but it seems it's not the case.

You have work experience so they might overlook that you didn't finish your high school education. Also I'm pretty sure not a lot of people on this forum possess massive wealth but as long as you're not in debt to your neck you should be fine too.

I think you collect positive or negative points in form I944 and these are not hugely impacting negative points.

Good luck in your process mate

Hi there, thank you so much for your reply it certainly makes me feel much better,  I have never used any public assistance  in my life,  not even in my home country and would never do so,  my sponsor will provide and affidavit saying she will assume responsibility until I'm on my feet and I believe with my work experience I can easily get job,  we have the usual amount of bills but nothing where we're sinking financially. I'm hoping they overlook me not completing my education especially as I'm am 45 years old and English is my first language.  Thank you again for your reply I appreciate the kindness.

Take care
