Hey everyone, first time posting here and I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, so I apologise in advance.

I'm from Belgium which is in the Schengen area, now I've heard of some people that they know people who still travelled to the US as a Belgian tourist even after the travel ban.

My question is does anyone know what the regulations are for me to go see my fiancee?
Will they let me in the country and make me self-quarantine at my fiancee's house or am I just going to be denied at the border?

Any help or information is greatly appreciated since I've been looking for information on that for weeks now and I'm slowly going crazy.

It all depends on  what visa, where you are coming from and how long you have been there.

From anywhere on a tourist visa / ESTA - NO.

Ok, thanks PAUL!
Yes I would be coming from Belgium since I live there Paul.
So that would mean a clear no, she is the only one who could travel then to come see me.

She would have to self quarantine based on the current proclamations when returning to the US.

Hey Paul quick question,

The travel ban for travellers from the Schengen Area to the US started on March 13 and was for 30 days correct?
Seeing as it is April 23 now, is there any source that shows this to be extended at all?

Although in his address President Trump reportedly said the ban would last 30 days, the proclamation language itself states that it “shall remain in effect until terminated by the President.”

And is it still in effect? I see flights from EU to US on google flights still. Are those only repatriation flights?

Yes that's what I was wondering too, still have so many flights going to the US from Belgium alone

Also keep in mind that Belgium has closed its borders for non-essential travel. There's a huge chance that she'll get sent back when she gets here.

I honestly wouldn't risk it. I'm not sure when or if the ban will ever get lifted, but I'm in the same boat and it sucks.

Yeah, it just sucks so much honestly, I would gladly spend my time in full lockdown if I could be with her either here or there but this is just the worst.

US Citizens, LPRs and certain immediate family can still fly into the US.  OP was asking about entry on tourist visa.
