Embassies don't control the border.   Airlines work much closer with the CBP than the embassies ever will.  I'd go that way anyday,  everyday.

Yeah I’m sure all these airlines know the EO by heart now. As of today, I wouldn’t trust what embassies or airlines have to say.

I guarandamtee the airlines absolutely knows it because if they allow a passenger on board who isn't eligible to enter,  the airline foots the return cost.

YMMV

My husband has an IR1 Visa and we are stuck in Egypt because the airport is closed. They've arranged flights with Egyptair for Americans and LPRs. I called Egyptair and asked about my husband. I was told he couldn't go unless the embassy sends an email giving permission. I msgd the embassy and was told that DHS makes the decision.

My brother in Egypt has his Visa too. Please let me know if you find out anything.

What about k1? We were about to schedule embassy interview, Outbreak happened. We even have the medical exam. Soon it's going to expire.  We are engaged and we have a son. We did crba and got him USA passport last year.  Can my fiance still come to USA?

As you may realize, visa interviews are on hold for the moment.  The embassy can opt to extend the validity of the petition, but yes, you would need to repeat the medical if it expires.  Nothing really to do at this point until the embassy reopens.

May I ask where you heard this information? I am in U.S. also wanting to go to Dubai to visit hubby :(

They publish in news, but some how they push it back and subject to change, keep checking the Emirates website and they may open long routine flights from May 01,

here is a guick news updated, even you can read in it Etihad Airline is also planning to open partially flights, so keep an eye on both and you can travel.

today they have lifted the 24 hours lock-down after 3 weeks and life is getting to normal slowly with safety measures.

Great find.

"U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and those holding valid immigrant visas on the effective date of the Proclamation, are not subject to the proclamation.  The Proclamation is not retroactive. No valid visas will be revoked under this Proclamation.  "

This is the language that needed to be in the EO to make it 100% clear. There should be no more questions now.
