F1 marrying GC Holder

I searched a lot but was not able to get the answer to the question. My cousin (on F1 and maintaining her status) is dating and her boyfriend is on GC. I have always heard that the wait times are extremely long for spouses of GC holders but when I looked up the April bulletin on USCIS website the dates are showing current. Does that mean that if they get married now, they will be able to file for I-130 and I-485 together? 

 

Am I missing something here? Thanks for the help

Yes, F2A is current right now so they can file concurrently.

Normally, F2A is ~1.5-2.5 years to become current. It is predicted for that to occur again this year (could even be next month...they have not released the May VB yet).

 

Edit: On what basis did your cousin obtain permanent residency?

My cousin is on F1... her bf got GC through family.

EDIT: I misread this table - I can't delete my older post!

@geowrian - I might have misread the table in a hurry the last time I checked.

I put in my settings for processing center (California) and ^^ this is what I got from the USCIS website: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

 

So potentially I am wrong about this! Sorry about that.

That's processing time for I-130s handled by a service center. When filed concurrently with an I-485, they are both adjudicated by the local field office instead.
